location: Northwest Tower G1 chamber.
designation: Storage.
description: This large storeroom is divided by a stout center support wall. The rooms contain a variety of crates, casks and barrels filled with dry provisions and supplies. The tower walls are lined with arrow loop alcoves that face onto the north and west moat.

location: Northwest Tower G1 latrine cesspit.
designation: Latrine cesspit.
description: This is a sewage reservoir that must be routinely emptied. Two latrine chutes dump into this pit. Two small angled vents help prevent overfill.

location: Northwest Tower G2 chamber.
designation: Barracks.
description: This floor is divided by a stout center support wall. The rooms quarter units of the garrison company assigned to the north curtain wall perimeter, and the elite unit assigned to the protection of the castle's ruling family. The tower walls are lined with arrow loop alcoves that face the east and west moat. A southern passage accesses a latrine for the tower garrison.

designation: Northwest tower staircase gallery.
description: A gallery encircles the inner rooms of the tower's third floor, accesses both staircases, and opens onto the curtain wall top. The main staircase (staircase S) spirals ccw down to G2, while the roof staircase (staircase T) spirals cw up to G4. The gallery is lined with arrow loop alcoves facing the north and west moat, and has two doors that access the curtain wall top.

description: This small room quarters several of the garrison sergeants.

description: This small room quarters the sergeants of the castle's elite unit.

description: This is the bedchamber of the Major-domo, the officer commanding the elite unit responsible to protect the castle's ruling family.

Area 085
location: Northwest Tower G4 roof.
designation: Northwest tower roof.
description: This is the crenellated top of the northwest tower. The crenellations are 4' in height. The stone staircase (staircase T) spirals ccw down to G3. The roof stands approximately ten feet above the curtain walls. The center octagonal interior is covered with a steeple frame adobe clay tile roof constructed over a flat, wood sub-roof.
