description: Seven small prison cells ring the center room of this enclosed tower floor. A
narrow passage is the only access, ending in a stone staircase (staircase F) that spirals cw
up to G2.

sanitary facilities or pleasantries of any nature.

description: Torture instruments fill this unpleasant room. Two small winches compliment an
especially nasty stretching rack, and a brazier and fireplace both illuminate and warm this room.

description: Shackle chains are mounted to the walls, and prisoners awaiting interrogation are
sometimes kept here where they can hear sounds from the adjacent room.

location: Southeast Tower G2 staircase and passage.

description: This stone staircase (staircase F) spirals ccw down to G1, and is the only access
to the prison. The passage opens into the southeast tower and into the southeast compartments.

description: This gallery encircles the inner rooms of the tower's third floor, accesses both
staircases, and opens onto the curtain wall top. The main staircase (staircase E) spirals
ccw down to G2, while the roof staircase (staircase G) spirals cw up to G4. The gallery is
lined with arrow loop alcoves facing the south and east moat.

description: This is the crenellated top of the southeast tower. The crenellations
are 4' in height. The stone staircase (staircase G) spirals ccw down to G3. The roof
stands approximately ten feet above the curtain walls. The center octagonal interior
is covered with a steeple frame adobe clay tile roof constructed over a flat, wood
sub-roof.
