description: This passage through the curtain wall allows access to the latrine cesspit.

description: This pit is a sewage reservoir that must be routinely emptied. Three latrine chutes empty into this pit. Two angled vents prevent overfill.

description: This passage through the curtain wall connects the donjon and the southeast tower.

description: Stone stairs (stairs G) built against the tower's west wall end in a long landing. Two doors, one into the donjon and one into the north curtain wall, are accessed from the landing.

description: This room is the primary entrance into the donjon. A small spinning wheel, loom, bookcase, armoire and other comfortable furnishings complete this room. Arrow loop alcoves line the walls and provide illumination for the room. A stone staircase (staircase J) in the southwest corner spirals cw up to G3. At the center of the donjon are stone stairs (stairs H) that lead down to G1.

description: This room is a convenient storage for provisions and firewood.

description: This gallery through the curtain wall accesses three latrines, and connects the donjon to the kitchen in the northeast tower. The gallery is lined with arrow loop alcoves facing both the keep exterior and into the inner bailey. Hidden behind privacy drapes, the latrines are small smelly cubicles consisting of a wooden bench and piles of hay. Each cubicle has an arrow loop alcove primarily for lighting and ventilation.

location: East curtain wall G3.
description: This is the crenellated top of the east curtain wall. The crenellations are 42" in height. The thin inner wall facing the bailey is 18" in height. The southeast tower stands approximately 15' above the curtain wall, while the donjon stands approximately 30' above the curtain wall top.

location: Donjon G3 chamber.
designation: Great hall.
description: This room fills the third story of the donjon. The great hall is the heart of the keep, and is where the castle's ruling lord and family spend the majority of their time. Many of the keep's functions are held in the hall, and the keep's daily routine is often conducted here. Two great hearths dominate the east wall, and arrow loop alcoves illuminate the hall. A stone staircase (staircase J) in the southwest corner spirals cw up to G4 and ccw down to G2.

description: This bedchamber quarters the officers commanding the keep's garrison. A great hearth warms and illuminates the room.

description: This is the crenellated top of the donjon, standing approximately 30' above the curtain walls. The stone staircase (staircase J) that spirals ccw down to G4 is protected by a small shell tower. The crenellations are 42" in height. The center rectangular interior is covered with an A-frame, wood shingle roof constructed over a flat, wood sub-roof, and two large chimneys rise from the east wall top.
