description: This short hidden passage connects the blacksmith forge and the northwest tower.

description: Twin great hearths dominate this room. Arrow loop alcoves line the walls and provide illumination. The stone staircase (staircase A) in the southeast corner spirals ccw down to G1.

location: Northwest Tower G3 roof.

description: This is the crenellated top of the northwest tower and the curtain walls. Two massive chimney stacks effectively block easy access to the northern side of the tower. The crenellations are 42" in height. On these two curtain wall segments, crenellations face both the keep exterior and the inner bailey. The center rectangular interior is covered with an A-frame, wood shingle roof constructed over a flat, wood sub-roof.
