description: A long "L"-shaped stone staircase is constructed in the outer courtyard, rising 20' to the height of the tower's second floor. A counter-balance drawbridge can be lowered across the gap between the tower and the staircase, allowing access to the tower entrance.

description: This small entry hall is defended by a single arrow loop window alcove. The room narrows, and entry into the tower interior is through a single doorway.

description: This large room is where the castle's ruling lord and family, and many of the tower's garrison, spend the majority of their time. The hall serves many uses, and the daily routine of the tower is often conducted here. A great hearth on the east wall provides warmth. Four arrow loop alcoves line the north wall, and two arrow loop alcoves, one to each side of the hearth, are on the east wall. A latrine room is built into the northeast corner.
