Role:

Vendaneran the Wise is the good power of the five elder deities. He is the embodiment of wisdom, patience, enlightenment, tolerance and goodwill. Vendaneran is the patron of sages and magicians alike, and it was he who gave the knowledge of language, both spoken and written, to all the races. But Vandaneran is also a powerful warrior and excellent tactician.

Priests:

Vendaneran's priests must always remain good in their outlook, though they may also be neutral, lawful, or chaotic. They seek knowledge both for their own self-fulfillment, and for the benefit of all individuals. They seek reasonable solutions to conflicts, look to the future and plan accordingly, and seek to correct potential problems before they occur. They are a peaceful group, content to spread their beliefs, and guide their flocks.

At times they seem more like sages than priests, spending much of their time in the gathering of knowledge. This general conceptualization, while not inaccurate, is often not the case. They make excellent diplomats and ambassadors, and are trained in military tactics.

Temples:

Most of Vendaneran's shrines and temples are located in town and cities. Libraries and universities are the most appropriate surroundings for the Wise One's temples, but some small chapels can be found as remote monasteries.
