Role: The Warrior is perhaps the most straightforward of the deities. Motara exists only to bring law to the universe, and the singular means to accomplish this end is war. To succeed, she has become the master of the art of war. She abhors chaos in any form, and ultimately strives to bring about the downfall of the lords of chaos. Motara has no interest in the individual good. She promotes strength and careful thinking in her followers, so that they will become the fittest to rule the world. Priests: The clergy of the Warrior are all aligned with law. The majority tend toward neutrality, and the remainder are split between evil and good. The priesthood is divided into three orders: The Grey Sect, also known as the Sect of Balance, The Crimson Sect (aligned with evil), and The Obsidian Sect (aligned with good). Regardless of the order, the clergy is haughty and aloof and considers itself above reproach from commoners. As a whole, they are a closed-minded lot who see the tenets of Motara as the only real truths. They are universally intolerant of those who do not follow or respect their beliefs. Motara's priests, from their novice beginnings, are skilled in the art of warfare. They are fighting priests, well-trained in military tactics and strategies, and all adhere to a strict regimen of physical exercise. The priests of Motara are not content to serve only as military advisors, they aspire to command very powerful armies. Orders devoted to Motara are rigidly organized, and all have definite goals and purpose. The Warrior's priests always know their exact standing in their temple, and seek to improve upon this status. As a result, priests are often sent upon missions for their temple. To advance, they must first prove their worth, and failure to do so proves them undeserving. Temples: Most of the major temples of Motara are located in cities and large towns. They are all well-fortified strongholds, and occasionally are full-scale castles.
