Darkfuries: Castles and Keeps is an Electronic Software Download (ESD) collection of high quality floorplans suitable for any genre role-playing game. While this ESD is presented as an HTML-format electronic book, greatest attention has been given to artwork quality, and the number of HTML pages is minimal.

This ESD contains features new to Darkfuries Sourcebooks:
  • The floorplan page top always faces north.
  • Descriptive texts are included.
  • Staircases are labeled alphabetically.
  • Staircase arrows always point up.
The floorplan page top always faces north, making it easy to locate fortification areas and components. Descriptive texts are included for each area of a fortification. The areas of each fortification are numbered with a three digit number within a rectangular frame that is located in the area on the floorplan, and are briefly described in the information text for the fortification. Staircases are labeled alphabetically, making it easy to go from level to level. Staircase arrows always point up, removing the necessity to label "up" and "down" directions.

It is my goal with the Darkfuries ESDs that all floorplans and maps be presented at the same scale whenever possible (not including thumbnails and overview images) to provide the clearest and greatest possible detail. This means some images will be quite large. Image filesize is a major concern when considering the use of full color artwork, so color art has been used sparingly. Single-color notwithstanding, I believe you will find these floorplans to be of the highest detail and quality.

The floorplans may be viewed independently of this sourcebook. There is no separate viewer included in this download. I have provided a freeware viewer/printer for download at http://www.darkfuries.com/download.shtml.

I grant permission for the purchaser to reproduce the floorplan images contained in this ESD for their personal use only. I ask that purchasers please respect my work by not illegally copying and distributing these images freely.
