description: This gallery opens from the southwest tower into the curtain wall, and has numerous arrow loop alcoves that allow an effective barrage of defensive fire to be brought against opposing targets in the exterior barbican. Stone stairs (stairs C) in the tower's east wall lead up to G2.

description: This room quarters a portion of the keep's garrison. The stone stairs (stairs C) in the east wall lead down to G1, and a stone staircase (staircase D) in the northeast corner spirals cw up to G3.

description: An exterior stone staircase (staircase B) built against the tower's east wall rises from the bailey floor up to the curtain wall.

description: This gallery through the curtain wall has arrow loop alcoves facing toward the exterior barbican and into the inner bailey. The center of the gallery is above the keep gateway, and widens to facilitate access to the alcoves. In the floor of the gallery center is a murder slot through which hot oil can be poured upon attackers breaching the keep gate.

description: This is a small but well-maintained chapel. Doors in the tower walls allow access to the south and west curtain walls. The stone staircase (staircase D) in the northeast corner spirals cw up to G4 and ccw down to G2.

description: This is the crenellated top of the south curtain wall, accessed from the bailey by the stone stairs (stairs B) built against the east wall of the southwest tower. The crenellations are 42" in height. The thin inner wall facing the bailey is 18" in height. The southwest and southeast towers rise approximately 15' above the curtain wall.

description: This is the crenellated top of the southwest tower, standing approximately 15' above the curtain walls. The stone staircase (staircase D) that spirals ccw down to G3 is protected by a small shell tower. The crenellations are 42" in height. The center rectangular interior is covered with an A-frame, wood shingle roof constructed over a flat, wood sub-roof.
