location: G3 east staircase.
designation: Hidden staircase.
description: This hidden stone staircase (staircase G) is concealed behind a wall tapestry. The staircase spirals cw up to G6.

Area 032
location: G4 chamber.
designation: Great hall.
description: This massive room fills the fourth floor of the tower. This is where the castle's ruling lord and family spend the majority of their time. The hall serves many uses, and the daily routine of the tower is often conducted here. Six great hearths provide light and heating, each venting out an angled shaft through the outer wall. Four passages access the outer balcony. Four stone staircases access the hall: Staircase C on the west wall spirals ccw down to G2. Staircase E on the south wall spirals cw up to G5 and ccw down to G3. Staircase F on the north wall spirals cw up to G5.

Area 033
location: G4 balcony.
designation: Lower balcony.
description: This wide balcony rings the fourth floor. It is encircled by a thin stone half wall parapet that extends one foot beyond the tower wall. Machicolations at the parapet base allow defenders to fire on opposing targets or pour boiling oil onto attackers at the tower foundation.
