Thrasher Suit(apologies to Niel Stephenson)by Sebastian Wiers ([email protected]) The armored sportwear for today's urban adventurer, popular with young skaters, sleek motocyclists, and couriers of all stripes, as well as mobility oriented street types. Custom made at Rad Zone in NW Chicago, a store that caters to bike messengers, skaters, and some gangs. The availability presuposes you go to that store or their matrix node (hosted by the Vortex, a Shadowland style BBS), and that they have previously given you a fitting. Delivery will be handled by the service of your choice or their extensive contacts with private couriers. Prices will be higher for such services, or if they just don't like you. Comes in several armor levels, and can incorporate various accessories. Black with neon-color custom designs that can be changed to matte black with a collar button. These armors are less cumbersome than regular armor, as they are built for athletic pusuits (high speed rollerblading, urban Brawl). Thier actual wieght is twice the list wieght if carried instead of worn, and they do not cause combat pool loss unless layered with other armor. They cannot be worn with other body fitted armors (suits, clothes, form fit). They are all custom fitted, meaning you can't share or steal an outfit, and must get a new one if your size changes (change in body or strength stat). They are made from special materials and not available in Gel-Pack versions. Ill-fitting suits offer less protection, combat pool loss, and other penalties at gm option.
