It's very interesting in that the rubber mould fits into a steel block that goes in an injection moulding system.
Yes, I have; combines the advantages of rubber for short runs and the advantages of injection molding for getting the casting material into the cavities. I hope it works for them.

My Mutant Chronicles Resurrection stuff has been pretty good. They go too thin on blades, some of the big kits have really bad mould lines, and sometimes there are still air bubbles but my stuff is mostly pretty early and I think the newer kits I've seen have been better. Still, it's a pretty big innovation that doesn't really get much notice. Prodos screwed up their Aliens Verses Predator kickstarter and made a lot of very vocal enemies. Still, if I ever get the 54mm stuff to take off I'd probably go with Prodos for manufacturing because their resin is light and it'd help keep shipping costs down.
At last! The big revision! More monsters! more magic! Two page hit location table!

Agreed. I've seen worse, over the years, and the technology works. To me, that's what's important; I like things that work.

Ms. Taylor - er, Cleopatra VII, sorry - and her colleagues are now all on their bases and all in primer; those dastardly Romans are also in the same state. New benches and stools for the PCs to throw are all done; it's been a very good day on The Workbench. Fifth Daughter has her weekly ration of comic books, and The Missus is in good shape. I'm pleased wth how things are going, I am.

Glad to hear it. Sometimes it's just nice to have a quiet day at home working on a project.

I'm in the process of building one of the Central Valley track switch kits to see how it goes. Today I put in the stock rails and guardrails.
I don't care if you respect me, just buy my fucking book.

Agreed. I'm finding that the more I disengage with the local gaming scene the happier and more productive I am. Going forward, there's going to be a lot more of the Free RPG Day sort of thing then what we did in years past with games being run for people who never bothered to say 'thank you' or help out. I have some really cool projects in the works, which are being done with the help and encouragement of my family, and if anyone wants to come along for the fun then they are quite welcome to join us - I think I can still amaze and astonish with my skills. I like building things, running games, and telling stories, and I'm going to keep on doing that; there are, I gather, some other folks who share that philosophy.

In contrast, the latest Grand Scheme that's crossed my desk is a proposal that I donate my entire collection to the Strong Museum of Play. I'm still trying to figure out what prompted this notion, and what I'm supposed to get out of it. Oh, yeah, and why am I not running Tekumel game events at the FLGS every month for people? I'm told that playing in my games is a big prestige thing, and you can be a Big Name Gamer if you are one of my players.; so, I owe it to Tekumel fans to run games for them as they are entitled to my time and energy.

Ah, right. Sure. Me, I thought we had more fun at our game on Barsoom, myself, and the kids really had fun in Lord Meren's Egypt. And the Skyline display looked really good, too; you should see what I have for the next event that I'm invited to...

I wonder if Cleo's dry, yet?

Betcha nobody's seen this besides us - yet another lost bit of shared culture from the early days of RPGs. Pity; I've seen GMs who could have really learned a lot from this. So it goes, I suppose; times and tastes change, and what we thought was funny back then isn't. It's all so serious; looking at the endless debates over things that happened forty-five years ago makes me head spin.

If those people have played in a setting that at least resembles Tekumel, how come they don't know the first major rule of getting anyone to do anything that you think is owed to you?

What movie is this from, Uncle?
"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very mean and nasty place, and I don't care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard you hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward; how much you can take and keep moving forward." - Rocky
