The Battle of Dormoron plain.
According to the Sourcebook, it took place on Tekumel, at a time when mankind had yet to evolve on Earth. That's a long time ago.
In Mu'ugalavya, there is an area called Dormoron Plain.
01 - What's out there? Is it a place where pilgrims from the known world venture and gather from time to time?
02 - Is it a forbidden area, one that's under the watchful eye of the Mu'ugalavyani?
03 - Are there ruins? Relics? Or is it a vast area that looks like the Mongolian steppes on our world?
So I went to staples today to make some copies. I spoke to the kind Copyist Shanto

PS Forgive the sideways photographs. The devices of the Latter Times are not my forte...
The battle itself exists outside of time and space, on a plane of reality all it's own. I fought in it for a while - I think this was before the original group split - and made some very interesting friends there. Which did come in very useful later on in my career; I helped them, they helped me, and it is still a very handy relationship.
1. Lots and lots of nothing. No towns or villages, nothing to see by miles and miles of miles and miles. No pilgrims that I ever saw, but they could be there and I'd guess that the occasional party of adventurers happens by.
2. Not that I'm aware of, but I'd guess that the Red Hats discourage tourists.
3. Not that I saw; might be, though, as we didn't do a lot of serious exploration up there. The steppes are a good approximation, too.
On a different topic, Fat Dragon Games is having a BIG sale on cardstock model masters:

Not all the stuff is suitable for Tekumel, but a LOT of it is good anyplace stonework is needed.
I don't care if you respect me, just buy my fucking book.
