It is, and one of the things we had to learn.

Doing two game sessions the next two Saturdays, as intros to Tekumel for some new folks. I'll use some of the rough pregens I did for Gary Con three years ago, letting them choose the PCs and their skills. Pretty basic adventure, looking into some ruins near Hekellu for Lord Chirine; they'll have three PCs and a bunch of mercenaries for the job. The vertical table extender will be in, so I'll have the surface ruins and the Mysterious Underworld below all set up for them. Fast and furious, I hope; may be able to shoot video, but still photos at the very least.

Any suggestions what to throw at them would be appreciated; I have my personal preferences, but I'd be interested in what all of you experienced players are most terrified of.

My players are not enjoying their run-ins with the hluss. I have odd extruded constructs all over, many of which are organic traps of some kind. They also cultivate food of the ssu, and use shell-throwing nenyelu in pools as watchdogs. The party has also learned to hate pygmy folk, those hairy little back-stabbing con-artists.

Thank you! There are some more photos up on my blog of the game room as it is set for today. Pretty basic adventure; we'll be using EPT, which should be fine. Really looking forward to this; I haven't run a game in ages, and it's good to be back in the saddle.

Wonderful! Sounds like your typical game, really. I like it!

Sounds like you and your group are having a blast.
BTW, are your players "new" to Tekumel? If so, are they having any difficulties "getting" Tekumel? Inquiring minds want to know

Sweet layout Chirine. That would be an experience and a half gaming on that table! I'm envious, sigh.

Thank you! I've kinda proud of what we've been able to build; luckily, I am pretty good with tools and lumber. The rolling snacks table, now in the lounge, lives under the game table, and those are the new shelves I made under the table top for more (!) game stuff. All of the stuff on the is off the shelves, and I didn't have to get anything out of the shed. This is a fast, quick game set, designed to get the players into Tekumel as quickly as possible.
