Agreed; reminds me of all those evenings at Campus Pizza or Le Chateau...

Tina Louse as an "Exotic Dancer" in "The Siege of Syracuse"!

Honored Uncle, between you and the Glorious General you have nearly unfathomable hours of game play in a world that is still somewhat obscure to 'outsiders'. Any long running game is going to generate some fantastic moments and great stories - combine the sheer amount of game play with a truly deep and interesting world that Phil created and you've got some really wonderful stuff.

As to why 'this' is the place to be? I think it's simple. There are a lot of other sources of information - the various rule books, the Blue Room Archive, etc. However, here I can ask you questions, get direct answers, and often get stories that are interesting, illustrative, and entertaining. There is simply no other resource like it!

Toss in a bit of history on the gaming world (some good some bad) as an added bonus. Hearing about how Gary and Dave did things is always interesting and enlightening as well. Comparatively I'm new to all this - I didn't start playing till late 1981!
    I'm working on it...

Thank you for your kind words, too! I worked out that at 12 years x 52 weeks/year x 5 hours a night I've got over 3.100 hours of game time in with Phil - and this does not add in all the time I spent with him 'off-line'. I'm glad we can be of help - and amusement!

It was a bunch of friends having fun. We just would up publishing a lot of our fun...
And that's why this thread is most useful, Uncle!
"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very mean and nasty place, and I don't care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard you hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward; how much you can take and keep moving forward." - Rocky

I came across this link while on TMP. https://agrabbagofgames.wordpress.co...-27-march1756/

How would you like to have a game on that table? The terrain kind of reminds me of parts of Kilalammu, or maybe even Ssuyal? That could easily be a Tsolyani border fort in the middle of nowhere...
    BTW, the table measures 18' x 6'.

    Chirine,

Another interesting post from TMP which should appeal to you, and I think some others on this thread. I found it quite interesting.

    Chirine,

What is the strangest mis-use of technology that you encountered?

For example, a high intensity spotlight being used as a symbol of communication with the god Hnalla.
