But can peoples of the deep fare any better? I can t hold back the sea. Jada, Goddess of Water, had never encountered the anger of her element so acutely. The experience was almost overwhelming. The protective Life Dome surrounding Atlantis was in immediate danger of cracking, and at more than thirty-five thousand feet on the very bottom of the deepest ocean, even a tiny crack would be fatal. You have to strengthen the dome, or we re all dead. These things take time, my lady, the slight, aged priest informed her with an air of superiority that made Jada grind her teeth. Time is something you do not have in abundance! It would all be so much simpler if she could reinforce the dome herself, but it was made up of a complex mixture of all the elements, and she was unable to manipulate any element but water. Find Cronos, she snapped at the priest. Perhaps he will succeed where all of you have failed. Cronos can not be bothered with such trivial matters. He waved her comments aside with a brush of his hand through the air. You will simply have to do your job as Goddess of Atlantis and hold the water until we can stabilize the dome. Jada wanted to scream, not only in frustration, but in pain as well. Every muscle in her body protested. When she connected with the water in its present state, the pressure threatened to crush her. The thousands and thousands of tons of sea working against her threatened her mind as well as her body. The ocean acted like a vise, squeezing her head and crushing her limbs and torso. Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 4 Still, she held on, would keep holding on until the dome was once again impenetrable. No matter how long it took. This was why she had been chosen to be Goddess of Water more than twenty years before. She could not be weak. Her pain was of no consequence. The weight of the sea was hers alone to bear, and still she was at the mercy of the priesthood. They could keep her in this living hell for however long they chose and there was nothing she could do about it. They put her in this prison every chance they got. Do you trust me? The words whispered next to her ear sent a sexual chill down her spine, and raised the hair on the back of her neck. The voice was deep, reverberating through her body. It was not a voice she recognized, but it affected her like only one other voice she d ever heard -- that of her chief priest and secret obsession, Cronos. Who are you? She gritted out the words through the pain and torment. Should I trust you? Your life and the fate of Atlantis could very well depend on it. She wanted to question his statement, but she didn t need to. She knew her limits. She had pushed herself past the point of her own endurance and knew she couldn t go much farther. Her power was beginning to buckle and would soon fail entirely as the water claimed its goddess. What do you want me to do? Her eyes were tightly closed --a last bid to gather her failing strength --so she didn t see the man s face as he turned her and touched his lips to hers. For a few moments, the contact was nothing more than a gentle pressure, but soon grew into a heated, yet tender mating of mouths. Tentatively, Jada s tongue darted past his lips to linger briefly and gather a taste of a man she d never even seen. Once she d accepted his embrace and settled into his strong arms, she felt her burden lighten, and a subtle surge of power grew within her. Groaning, she surrendered to the demands of the water and her body. It was the first time since before she became a goddess that she d actually enjoyed intimacy. The cool power of the water rushed through her body. It blended with her own energy, pushing the sea away from Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 5 the dome, away from Atlantis. With one surge of sexual enjoyment, she held the full weight of thirty-six thousand feet of water without assistance from the Life Dome. In the midst of power she couldn t even begin to understand, she heard some of the priests yelling at her, calling her a slut, cursing the man who held her so carefully as an outsider and enemy of Atlantis. None of it mattered, and in the next instant she was enfolded in something soft and warm from head to toe. All sound ceased except her own whimpers of pleasure and the grunts of approval from her companion. You have done well, Goddess of Water. Hold out a little longer. The voice was Cronos s. He had never before spoken to her in such a manner, in her head, though she had often suspected he could. She could feel him reaching out to her at times, and this time she actually felt him touch the back of her neck with his lips, even though she knew he wasn t there. She continued to kiss the man in whose arms she was nestled so protectively, but the pressure was slowly returning. It wouldn t be long until she was in trouble once again. Breaking the kiss, she buried her face in the masculine chest in front of her. Cronos, she whispered. I am here, Goddess. She wanted to cry with relief. His presence alone gave her renewed strength and hope. The high priest had been her advocate since she ascended. His duties did not include the dome, but he would put an end to this, and Atlantis would be safe once again. Perhaps then, he would see the priests let her rest for a time. Please hurry, Cronos. Any strength she had left was rapidly dwindling. Even her thoughts were weakening, and she slumped in the arms of the other man. But then Cronos would know that. He knew her better than anyone ever would. I can t hold the water. Even with his help. The stranger coaxed Jada to raise her head, then kissed her again. His face was devastatingly handsome, but that was all she saw before he took her into a sexual haze once again. Cronos grasped Jada s hand, and she immediately felt the load lighten, but only minimally. Relaxing into the kiss, she stopped fighting the water and embraced it. Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 6 Within a few moments, a substantial portion of Jada s burden lightened and the stranger broke their kiss. Do you know why the sea is suddenly angry at Atlantis? Cronos s softly spoken words revealed nothing of the strain on his own strength. He might have been having a casual conversation. It s not angry. It s the dome. She was still weak, and a trickle of sweat fell from her temple down her cheek. Is Chaos behind it? It is certainly possible. I have never encountered him before, so I don t know his power signature. With the help she received from Cronos, and the mystery man still holding her possessively, Jada s strength returned. She turned her attention to the handsome newcomer. Who are you? I am Raphael, Chief Priest to the Goddess of Air. That was when she noticed that the soft, feathery arms surrounding her were exactly that --feathers. Raphael had three sets of wings. One that seemed to sprout close to the back of his neck, another set that connected to the backs of his thighs, and a third, larger set which probably attached to his shoulder blades, all three inky black. The combination of the soft touch of his wings and the muscular hardness of his arms was intoxicating. Jada sucked in a breath. Raphael was as dark as Cronos was light. But he was an outsider. The priesthood did not like anyone invading their domain. We must hurry. If the priesthood sees us still here They will accept anyone you see fit to use, Cronos said with some force. It is something we must discuss later. Right now, you must hold the sea until Raphael and I can strengthen the dome. Without warning, a massive surge of water broke through a section of the protective barrier that helped Jada hold back the sea. Screaming as the full weight of the water slammed into her, Jada would have fallen to her knees if not for Raphael s and Cronos s support. She couldn t hold the water. Raising her face to the artificial sky, she Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 7 watched helplessly as a crack spidered across the dome. It was only a matter of seconds before the whole thing caved in and crushed Atlantis, and all her inhabitants, instantly. All around her, priests ran for the heavy steel submersibles that Jada had insisted on for a quick escape when she d ascended to Goddess of Water. Unfortunately, there were not nearly enough for everyone in Atlantis, and the priests crowded inside instead of evacuating the women and children first. Cowards. I hope Raphael can repair his barrier. It was the last thought Jada had before she succumbed to the excruciating pain and fell into darkness. Chapter Two Jada woke in her own bed as one of the priests shook her roughly. When she protested, one of them struck her soundly across the right side of her face. Pain exploded through her cheek and eye, and her ear rang from the blow. It was your job to prevent this! One of them stabbed her chest with a finger to emphasize his point. He was a younger man, but still older than herself. If she remembered correctly, he had just become a priest when she came to this place. Aging in Atlantis didn t follow normal patterns, so he was probably several centuries old. You did not do your job, then you leave us to clean up the mess, depleting our power to a critically low level. We must regenerate it now, and we need you to do it. Wake up, you lazy cow! Lust creates its own energy and Jada sensed it in abundance from this priest. They used sex to refuel their magical ability in order to reinforce the dome. Sex was the last thing Jada wanted. Not now. Not ever. Please. She hated begging, but her body ached and her head pounded. I need rest. I hurt. You should have thought about that before you invited an outsider to Atlantis. If he had not been here, none of this would have happened! Several priests, in similar states of anger and arousal, surrounded her, and she knew she would not win this battle. Holding back the tears was not easy, but she refused to let them see her cry. She did not protest when they converged on her, actually fighting over who would take her first. Closing her eyes tightly, Jada tried to imagine each man grunting behind her, slamming himself into her with bruising force, was actually Cronos. The strong and quiet high priest had been the object of her obsession since she first became Goddess of Water more than twenty years before. He was always kind and gentle. Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 9 But it wasn t him, and she couldn t fool herself into thinking it was. It would never be him. She had offered herself many times, and each time he had refused her. Like the slut they had forced her to become, she knelt on the plush furs lining the area at the foot of her bed, letting one priest after another take his pleasure from her body. Her arms struggled to support her upper body, and her knees ached from being too long on even the soft rug. It was simply another duty she had to perform. A duty set by her predecessor. A duty she d hated from the beginning. A few more priests had gathered around her and several of them removed their robes to stroke themselves. Clearly, she would play whore for the better part of the night. Jada dropped her head, trying not to let tears leak from her eyes. It was her duty to service her priests, but she didn t want to. She wanted to curl up in her own bed, alone, and cry. She had not been able to grieve as she d needed to. The earth above her beloved Atlantis was dying, and as an Elemental, she felt it acutely. Ash had made its way to the upper troposphere and blocked the warmth and light from the sun over most of the planet. Sure, in a few years things would start to get better, but the majority of life above the sea bottom would not survive unless she and the other Elementals could find a way to counter the global disaster caused by the eruption of the volcano at Yellowstone Park in Wyoming. The priest gripped her hips and thrust two more times, grunting and growling. Jada thought he d finally come, but when she felt him probing her anus, she winced and buried her face in the furs beneath her to keep from crying out in protest against the coming pain. Enough! Jada sobbed in relief. Cronos always seemed to know when she could take no more. It was part of the reason she loved him. He stood at the entrance to the throne room, his long hair loose about his shoulders in a shimmering, platinum wave. His heavily muscled torso was bare, except for the strip of cloth holding up his toga. It Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 10 reached only slightly above mid thigh, revealing the equally heavy muscles of his legs - dusted generously with golden hair -- all the way to his perfectly shaped feet. No man she had ever seen could compare to this one. Except maybe Raphael. I will finish my pleasure, the lesser priest snarled and continued to push against her tight opening. Jada was flattened to the furs by the weight of his body, and she grunted when his full weight crushed the breath from her lungs. Just when she thought she wouldn t be able to get another breath of air, the weight was gone. Taking several deep breaths and trying to pull the rug over her naked body, Jada heard a sickening crunch and she realized someone had been hit. Hard. She is a goddess. You will respect her in every way, or you will die by my hand. The coldness in Cronos s voice chilled her soul. There was deadly calm, but also barely controlled violence in his softly spoken words. That was the thing about him -- he never had to raise his voice. She has pledged to see to our pleasure in exchange for our loyalty and service. The lesser priest held a white cloth, now stained crimson with blood, to his nose. An arrangement created by her predecessor and forced upon her by the priesthood. Cronos s lip curled, menacingly. An arrangement all of you broke when you would have deserted, leaving her and all of Atlantis to the mercy of the sea. He took a threatening step forward. An arrangement that ends now. Another lesser priest stepped forward. But our strength is drawn from her sexuality. Without that to sustain us, we could no longer maintain the Life Dome separating Atlantis from the sea. It would weaken and fail. The smirk on his face said he thought his argument was enough to overrule the high priest, and Jada thought he was right. It s all right, Cronos. Jada managed a weak consent as she got to her feet. Atlantis is the only place left untouched by the rage of Chaos. I will not risk losing the one haven left in the entire world. Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 11 The first priest grunted and reached for Jada once again. Cronos didn t utter another word. He simply stared at the priest seeking to enter Jada s body. At first, Jada thought he might be trying to simply stare the man down, but when his eyes began to glow a radiant, ocean-blue light, she stepped back slightly, and watched in fascination. The priest stumbled and fell to his knees, clutching his head. His eyes opened wide, his mouth forming a silent O, of surprise, or fear, or pain, Jada couldn t determine. After a few seconds, the priest started screaming wildly. He clawed at his head and face, pulling fistfuls of hair from his scalp. His horrific screams grew in strength and intensity until they were shrill, soul-piercing shrieks. Clear fluid began to trickle from his nose, then his ears. Soon, even his eyes oozed the stuff, like tears. He tried to speak, but he choked on something. When he tried to cough it up, clear vomit spewed from his mouth, splattering Jada s naked breasts and stomach. That was when she realized the substance was water. Cronos grabbed Jada s arm and jerked her to him, wrapping his arms around her and trying to tuck her head into his chest, but she refused. She had to see what was happening. The priest coughed again and more water splattered the marble floor. Uncontrollable coughing followed by retching and gagging yielded more and more water until the priest collapsed in a pool. He gasped once, his eyes glazing over and, finally, the pupils fixed and dilated. He was dead. There was silence. Is there anyone else who would challenge me? The question was issued quietly, with deadly calm. For a moment, no one spoke. Then Jada looked at him, knowing he meant well, but also knowing that realistically, the priests were the only ones who could maintain the dome. It was a skill the previous water goddess neglected to pass on to her. Cronos, I can t keep the Life Dome intact without them. Tears welled in her eyes, but she held them back through force of will. She might not be a very powerful goddess, but she had an iron will. Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 12 Perhaps not now. He smiled. But we will learn together. Confused, Jada searched his face for a clue as to what he meant. I don t understand. Cronos opened his mouth, then closed it again. Taking a breath, he captured her gaze. Do you trust me, Goddess of Water? Of course. She never thought to hesitate. The one person in all of Atlantis she trusted implicitly was Cronos. He gathered her naked body in his arms. Raphael, Cronos turned his head to look at Raphael. Clear out the priests. A rumbling of protest rolled through the priesthood gathered there. Cronos turned in the other direction to look at the disgruntled men. If they resist, kill them. You can t keep Atlantis safe without us! one yelled. You ll kill everyone! The goddess made sure you didn t know the secret so you couldn t take over Atlantis s rule, Cronos. She would still be here if it weren t for you! Raphael crossed his arms over a massive chest and tossed blue-black hair over his shoulder with a shake of his head. And if she were, Atlantis would be under the control of Chaos. His shoulders quivered and shiny, onyx wings unfolded behind him and stretched almost twice arm s length to either side. Now, either leave this temple at once, or I ll carry out his orders --Raphael smiled wickedly. --in a most enthusiastic manner. A couple of them started to protest, but the body in the center of the room belched a sickening gurgle. Reminded of what Cronos was capable of, the priests left without further comment. I wasn t lying when I said I didn t know how to maintain the Life Dome, Cronos. Jada looked at him, searching his face for reassurance. And I said we d figure it out together. He gently stroked her cheek with his thumb, and Jada closed her eyes. It would be so easy to imagine more to that simple touch, but she d given that up soon after she first came to Atlantis. Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 13 I need a bath. Go, then. Cronos smiled at her. I ll introduce my friend properly when you re finished. Jada glanced at Raphael and was suddenly very aware of her nudity. Raphael s gaze burned through her and she couldn t help but notice the lust in his eyes. He was every bit as handsome as Cronos. His black leather pants molded his hips, legs and cock lovingly and made him look so different from Cronos that she swore he was from another world. Sex was the last thing she expected to be thinking about after everything that had just happened, but it seemed Raphael and Cronos affected her in the same manner. Shifting her glance back to Cronos, she found him watching her curiously. She felt like she d been caught doing something very naughty. Ducking her head, she hurried to her bath chamber, resolved to kick out anyone there. Thankfully, her private bathing chamber was devoid of servants and --she shuddered -- priests. Stepping into the warm water, she sank under and closed her eyes. As she floated in the pool, under the water, calm closed over her. This was one of only two places she could consistently find peace. The other, the one she could only go to in her greatest need, was in Cronos s arms. Oddly, she felt that same sense of peace when Raphael closed his massive wings around her, shutting out the rest of the world. She groaned as she surfaced, water streaming down her face and neck to rejoin its essence in the pool. Raphael wasn t a safe subject to dwell on. But man, what a subject! He was absolutely gorgeous. Between him and Cronos, Jada wasn t sure how she was supposed to keep her mind on anything other than those two marvelous specimens of manhood. The strange thing was she had absolutely no negative feelings about Raphael touching her. Quite the contrary. She had loved kissing him. Longed to do it again, actually. Swimming to the other side of the pool, Jada situated herself along the step in the corner and laid her head against the padded rim. She sighed. What would it be like to Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 14 experience all the sexual things she had done in the last twenty years with Cronos and Raphael? For the first time in two decades, the thought of sex didn t make her cringe. Closing her eyes, she imagined Cronos, naked, entering the pool from the other side. The light from Atlantis s artificial sun would reflect off his hair, making it shine. His skin would be damp with sweat, and his eyes would be full of love and affection, yet slightly glazed with lust when he looked at her. You have absolutely no idea how long I ve waited for this, Jada. Cronos s husky confession was so unlike the smooth, controlled voice she had come to associate with the high priest. You should be worshiped, not molested. He glided through the water with all the grace the High Priest of Water should possess in his own medium. Agreed, my friend. Raphael! The darkly handsome warrior for the Air Goddess. His hands, strong and sure, gently gathered her hair and pinned it atop her head. Kneading her shoulders, he kissed the back of her neck until she shivered. Jada closed her eyes, sinking deeper into the water. Sighing, she trailed her fingertips over her legs and stomach until she reached her breasts. It wasn t hard to imagine it wasn t her hands, but the hands of the lovers in her daydream that pinched her nipples to exquisite peaks. Gasping and arching her neck, she offered herself to her imaginary lovers. A flood of pleasure engulfed her as waves from the pool danced across her swollen nipples. Her body wound itself into a bundle of need. The only way to assuage the ache was to find release in the arms of the two men left in all the world she trusted. Finally, Jada gave into her desire and did something she hadn t done in more than twenty years --she slid a hand down to her carefully groomed and now highly sensitive pussy. Water and lust had made her cunt slick and her clit swollen, waiting for her questing fingers. Standing in front of her, Cronos bent down and wrapped an arm around each of her thighs, lifting her pelvis out of the water. Raphael supported her upper body, squeezing and kneading one breast before moving to the other. Reaching behind her, Jada wrapped her arms Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 15 around Raphael s neck to give herself some support so the clever archangel could work his magic with the other hand. He didn t, however. At least not with his hands. His wings, though, were busy indeed. He stroked and brushed her body from toe to neck with all six of his wings. It tickled, but only enough to serve as an erotic pleasure, making her squirm and writhe against both men. And that was when Cronos made his move. Without warning, he dipped his head between her thighs to let his tongue dance across her clit. When she cried out, he gently plucked each nether lip with his teeth and lips until his tongue stabbed her cunt, seeking entrance. With two fingers buried deep inside her pussy, and lost as she was in her daydream, Jada threw caution to the wind. When the first spasms of her climax overtook her, she screamed. With each wave, she pumped her hips. Water sloshed about in the pool and cascaded over her breasts, prolonging her pleasure. When the last contraction faded, Jada fell limp into the water, the comforting arms of the pool closing over her head and caressing her body with its warmth. With a sigh, she emerged and lay back, floating languorously until sleep threatened to take her. Chapter Three Do you know what you re doing, Cronos? Raphael s softly spoken question weighed heavily. No. But I ve had enough. I can t stand to see her suffer any longer. They stood next to a window overlooking the bath from Jada s private chamber, and from his position behind a giant potted plant, Cronos could see her clearly. He never took his gaze from her form, floating in the pool. Because of his link to her through the water, he knew she d experienced her first sexual pleasure in a very long time. He also knew that she d fantasized about him and Raphael as she did. Those two facts decided his course of action. Is that the only reason? It s one of them. Is she ready for what lies ahead? No. Cronos finally looked at Raphael. But she will do what is necessary. How long can I have you before you must return to Angelina? I will not be with her any longer. She is preparing herself for her mate. Cronos raised an eyebrow. Indeed. Is it as we suspected? It is. She is having trouble with it, but she cannot deny it either. Raphael smiled. Does Jada know? About us? No. She is attracted to me --has been since the first day we met -- but Cronos trailed off, sorrow overwhelming him. But she hasn t been able to fully explore her feelings for you. Because of the way the priesthood treats her. Raphael finished his thoughts, just as he used to do when they were young boys on another world, in another universe. Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 17 I ve been afraid she will never enjoy sex again. Now, I think she might recover, but if she thinks she must mate with both of us and has no choice in the matter, it might push her away from her true nature. Cronos studied his friend for a moment. Can you accept it if she is only able to choose one of us? Raphael didn t flinch. Can you? Cronos turned and paced across the room. His thoughts and feelings in turmoil, he felt lost, helpless. It was a feeling that was slowly but surely driving him mad. Before he realized what he was doing, Cronos hit a marble pillar with all the considerable force he was capable of, knocking a huge chunk from the column. I ve really fucked things up this time, Raph. I should never have allowed Bethany to have as much free rein as she had before Jada replaced her. He turned back to Raphael. When Jada was chosen, I should never have allowed the priests control over her body. You did the only thing you could at the time. Did I? The question hung heavily between them. Cronos, could you figure out how to maintain the dome? Cronos hesitated. No. Bethany refused to allow me to be around when anything happened with the dome. It has taken me almost thirty years to figure out what I have. And what have you figured out? That the dome isn t dependent on solely one element. That s why Bethany had only limited control of it, and why the priesthood uses charms and spells to manipulate it. It was so like Raphael to make him think about a situation instead of feeling sorry for himself. Thanks, Raph. Raphael smiled. So where do we go from here? The dome is stable for now, but we need to reinforce it. I can t do it, because I don t have control over any element save water. Together, we can strengthen the portions of water and air, but the delicate balance of fire and earth will not be maintained. We need Pyros and Talon. We need Pyros s mate, Allison. Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 18 Raphael gave him a puzzled look. I don t understand. Rumor has it, she can manipulate all the elements, though not with her own energy. The runes! Raphael paced the room a couple of times before nodding. I ll summon Pyros. If he enters the sea in the Mariana Arch in the Ring of Fire, that should give him the merging medium he needs and still be fairly close to us. Pyros will have no trouble with the hydrostatic pressure, and Angelina will help keep Allison safe. OK. Let them know our plight is desperate. Cronos didn t think they could afford any delays. I don t think it will take much coaxing. The God of Fire and his mate are not like these sniveling priests of Jada s. They will do what is necessary. I hope you re right. Perhaps I was a bit premature in ejecting the priesthood. I hate to admit it, but they were right in saying we can t keep Atlantis safe without them. We will find a way. Raphael sighed. Perhaps it is time to instruct Jada on her duties. Yes. She has a narrow view of her responsibilities. With two thirds of the earth covered with water, she can t continue to concentrate on this one section of ocean. You don t have to state the obvious, Raph. She s had no guide. Bethany told her to do as the priests instructed, and I was too busy cleaning up the mess Bethany left behind to minimize the damage. Cronos knew he was getting defensive, but he couldn t help it. Jada might be a goddess, but she wasn t omniscient --none of them was. She honestly didn t know what being Goddess of Water meant. I m more to blame than she is. Raphael sighed. I know. I m just frustrated. Raphael caught his gaze, and the bleak look broke Cronos s heart. I don t want to lose her before I even get the chance to know her, Cronos. Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 19 - Cronos hung his head. One more failure of mine in a long list, my friend. I am truly sorry. Just be gentle with her. Do what you have to do to win her trust. If you can do that, I believe everything else can be worked out in time. Cronos embraced Raphael. Bring Pyros and Allison. I ll see how far we have to go with Jada. * * * Jada felt better after her bath. In retrospect, she probably shouldn t have been so vocal in seeking her own pleasure. It might have given the priesthood an excuse to invade her privacy in the guise of checking on her. Fortunately, they did not. Climbing from the bath, she stepped into her bedchamber. Cronos was the only person she wanted to see, and she knew from experience he would not come to her. So she was surprised to see him sitting straight backed on a divan a few feet away from her bed. Looking for something to cover herself and finding only a small toga that didn t quite do the job, Jada avoided looking at Cronos. Somehow, having him here, now, after what she d done in her bath, wasn t as comforting as she d thought it would be. I apologize for my state of undress. It was the only thing she could think of to say. I didn t expect you to be here. We need to talk, Jada. I know. She was weary beyond imagination. All she really wanted to do was crawl into bed and sleep for a week. I don t suppose there is any way I could take a nap first? Cronos blinked. I m sorry. Swearing under his breath, he stood and paced the length of the room. I m no better than those vultures surrounding you. He turned and walked to her, laying a hand on her shoulder and squeezing gently. I ll leave you to rest. If you need me - Would you mind staying with me? Why was she doing this to herself? Jada had asked the chief priest the same question more times than she cared to count over the years, and the answer had always been a gentle no. Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 20 He took a breath, seeming to hesitate, as if unsure what he should do. Do you really want me to? The question caught her off guard, and triggered the emotional release she d been holding back for years. It started with a sniffle. One tear escaped her eye then she started to sob uncontrollably. Once the flood started, there was no stopping it. She reached for him blindly, her tears obscuring her vision. Wrapping her arms tightly around his neck, she clung to him as if he were her only lifeline on an endless ocean. Please, Cronos, she cried into his neck, I can t bear to be alone. Her sobs bordered on hysterical, she knew, but she couldn t seem to stop herself. I know you don t want me sexually, and with everything that s happened I can t blame you, but would it be such a hardship for you to hold me and keep the bad dreams away, just this once? His arms tightened around her almost painfully for a moment before he pushed her to arm s length away from him. Listen to me, Jada. His face was fierce. Whatever point he needed to make, he was very serious about it. You are the most incredibly beautiful and sexy woman I ve ever met. If I gave you the impression I wasn t interested, it was only because I was trying to straighten up the mess your predecessor left for you. When he closed his eyes and took a breath, Jada used that opportunity to pull herself together and really listen to what he had to say. When he spoke again, it was obvious he chose his words with care. There are things about being Goddess of Water of which you have no comprehension. I know you have the instincts, but you ve been told so much what you have to do, that you haven t done what you were meant to do. Cupping her face in his hands with all the tenderness she had come to expect from him, he stared into her eyes with an intensity she had never before seen in him. And make no mistake, Jada, I will claim you as my own, but not before you are ready, and only --only -- if you still want me. She blinked several times, tears falling once again. I don t understand. I ve wanted you since I first came to Atlantis, but you ve rejected me so many times Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 21 His fingers bit into her arms. Because I do not want you to associate my need of your body with what those bloody priests have done to you. Jada wasn t sure exactly what got into her --maybe her daydream, maybe the lingering aftereffects of her orgasm -- but she grabbed his silky blond hair and pulled him to her roughly. She needed him to cleanse her, needed him to heal her. Kissing him was an obsession. She was so, so hungry for the taste of him. The desire she d had for him all these years finally broke through the surface and she wasn t about to take no for an answer. She nipped his lips with her teeth, licked his teeth with her tongue. All the while, he let her do as she would. He was never the aggressor, and he never pulled back. When he scooped her up and laid her on the bed with infinite care, she expected he would follow and, finally, finally, take her, just as he had so many times in her dreams. Instead, he pulled her to him, pillowing her head on his chest, and whispered to her. Not now. Not yet. Cronos, I need - I know you do. I do, too. I can feel your emotions when they are high through our connection to the water. I can hear your thoughts when you want me to, again, because we both have a connection to water. Do you honestly think I m unaffected by your love for me, Jada? There is so much we need to talk about. So much you don t -- can t --understand right now. Just know that I will do everything I can to make you mine. And from this moment on, absolutely no one touches you unless you say. Not even me. Do you understand? No. It was the only honest answer she could give. But I know you ll explain it soon. She sighed. You could have told me you wouldn t make love to me before I started kissing you. Cronos chuckled. Well, it was a rather sudden move on your part. He kissed the top of her head. Tomorrow, Raphael will bring Pyros and Allison here. The three of us have to talk before this goes any farther. She pulled back to look at him. Raphael? Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 22 His eyes darkened, and Jada swore he might just change his mind about making love to her. Did you like kissing him, sweetheart? Jada felt a flush creep up her face. What could she say? She couldn t lie, not to Cronos. Yes. Her whispered confession didn t have the effect on Cronos she thought it might. Good. Talk about confusing! How was that good? Rest, Jada. When you wake, I ll explain everything. Do you trust me? You keep asking me that. She smiled. I trust you with my life. He kissed her mouth tenderly once more. If you ll follow my lead, everything will be OK. Tomorrow, you ll begin to learn what it means to be Goddess of Water. Chapter Four Holding Jada gently, Cronos stroked her silky hair. She was the true Goddess of Water. The only other goddess to have changed after her ascension was the very first goddess, eons and eons ago. Looking at her now, Cronos wondered at Jada s own change. Her hair had turned from light brown to the most beautiful combination of blues he had ever seen. Falling down her back and almost to the ground, it looked like a rippling waterfall. Her skin had changed as well, if more subtly, adding a hint of blue to her own milky-white. Her eyes had already been the color of the bluest sea. In fact, they rivaled the trademark blue diamonds passed down from goddess to goddess through the eons, hers to wear in adornment, if she so chose. Jada did not. At first, Cronos thought they simply weren t her style. As he got to know her, he realized she was punishing herself for some unseen sin. He would often catch her fingering them reverently, but she never wore them. Indeed, she never even picked them up from their resting place on an ivory pillow trimmed in deep blue tassels beside the Water Goddess s throne. That was when he realized she knew she was missing something in her duties. The little goddess realized there was more she should do, but she had no idea what it was, and no one seemed willing to help her. Cronos disengaged himself with care, so as not to disturb her. Padding to the balcony overlooking Atlantis s rings, he crossed his arms over his chest and inhaled deeply. Stale. The elements were not working in harmony inside Atlantis. Even if the Life Dome didn t break, the air would slowly turn to poison. Either way, no one would survive. Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 24 He was about to turn away when something caught his attention. In the distance to his right, Raphael soared with agile grace toward him. A few moments later, Raphael s wings stirred the breeze and he came to rest in front of Cronos. Has Angelina agreed to contact Pyros and Allison? Yes. She will send the call when I am ready to receive them. She will also contact Talon in case his assistance is needed as well. Do you think it s wise to bring the God of Fire and his mate here? I can t guarantee it s entirely safe. Do you have a better idea, my friend? Cronos snorted. Yeah. Kill Chaos and be done with it. I think the others would agree with you, but you know we can t. I didn t say it was a good idea. Raphael gripped his upper arm and smiled. Take care of her, Cronos. She ll need her mind clear and her heart at ease. Can you keep everyone away from her? I ll use deadly force if I must. He sighed. We must hurry, Raph. I don t think Atlantis has much time. They ll be here before you know it. Raphael s gaze wandered over Cronos s shoulder to the sleeping beauty in the bedchamber. Gods, keep her safe, Cronos. My heart aches for her. Trust me. I do. And Raphael jumped to the sky and was gone. * * * Soaring through the domed sky, Raphael stretched his wings and pushed himself faster and faster. Pent up sexual energy, frustration, worry -- all of it built inside him to unbearable levels. He needed to claim his mate, but he couldn t do it until he was sure she wanted him. Knowing he couldn t dwell on himself, he flew as high and as fast as he could from one side of the island to the other, trying to relieve some of the energy his own lust created. He flew around the perimeter of the dome until he regained some measure of control over his emotions. Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 25 He was almost exhausted before he stopped his flight, and all six of his wings ached where they joined his body. He couldn t remember ever pushing himself so hard. Landing near one of the airlocks where submersibles were housed for evacuation, he opened the massive door and stepped inside. Securing the door once again, Raphael drew a three dimensional circle of air around him, creating a bubble. Angelina, I am ready. Ah, Raphael. The Goddess of Air s voice was as light and serene as always. The Goddess of Water is well? As well as can be expected. She has had a very hard time of it. The priests have been brutal. I know. I have watched her development. Angelina sounded as sad as Raphael felt, but her calm and serenity still came through. She has a stout heart, Raphael. Her spirit will heal if you love and protect her. I do. I will. Raphael closed his eyes against the emotion in his heart, hoping he could control tears that threatened to spill. In all the eons of his existence, he hadn t cried since he was a child. But the thought of such an innocent soul having to endure all Jada had tore through his heart. Knowing she was his to protect, regardless that he was powerless to do so before now, made him feel more inadequate than anything ever had. Part of gaining her trust is proving that Cronos and I have the resources to save her beloved Atlantis. Will you help me? Angelina s tinkling laughter lightened his heart. She had never needed him so much as he needed her. She always seemed to know when he needed to hear the music of her laughter. You know you don t have to ask, my dear Raphael. I helped create the Life Dome. It should be a simple matter to teach the three of you what to do. Are you ready for me to seek out Pyros and Allison? Yes. Cronos and I believe her runes hold the key for control of the Life Dome, though the priests never seemed to use them. She can help you. She will be the key to other things before it is over. Angelina s voice trailed off and, for the first time since he d known the Goddess of Air, Raphael thought Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 26 she sounded bleak, dismal, without hope. As quickly as it happened, it changed again. Angelina was once again the epitome of calm assuredness. I will alert Pyros to your need, but will leave you to explain the situation, as I need all my effort concentrated here as long as possible. Again, Angelina slipped into a bleakness that sent a shiver down Raphael s spine. There is a great storm on the horizon and I must prepare. Chaos nears, and I am not ready to face him yet. We will do the best we can for now, my lady. Do what you must. He would wait there until Pyros and Allison descended. It didn t take long. A couple of hours later, the floodgates started to fill the chamber. This room usually served as compression and decompression chambers, but that wouldn t be necessary for the god and his mate. The bubble did all the work. The outer door opened, admitting the God of Fire and his mate. Raphael hadn t seen Allison since shortly after the eruption at Yellowstone, but he was astonished at the change in her appearance. With the water slowly receding, Allison s image wavered and wobbled, but there was no mistaking the crimson highlights to her hair, or the darker, caramel color to her skin. Curious. Once the water had been pumped out, Raphael waved his hand, and the bubbles integrated themselves with the air in the chamber. For a moment they stood there, not saying anything. Raphael wasn t sure what to say. Allison was definitely more than she seemed. Allison broke the silence. Something s wrong. She stood very still, as if listening. Something s very wrong. A soft tingling sound echoed through the air. Cronos? As always, Raphael reached for his lifelong friend. Get up here. NOW! Raphael s heart raced. What the fuck was going on? He focused a tendril of air on the door and the thing blew off its hinges. Do I need to bring Pyros or Allison? Have them meet us at the temple. Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 27 Go, Raphael! Allison screamed. Go now! Not questioning, Raphael leapt into the sky and streaked toward the temple on the center ring of Atlantis overlooking the city. All the while, the tinkling grew louder, and louder still. With the temple in sight, Raphael felt the now almost deafening noise deep in his brain, like crystal clinking together. * * * When the priests entered her chamber, Jada was deep in meditation. Had it not been for the taint of their lust, driven by evil intention, she probably wouldn t have known they were there until it was too late. We have come to take what we need. At first, Jada was too shocked to answer. When she was grabbed, dragged to her feet and thrown to the bed, her mind flew into action. Her first instinct, as always, was to reach for Cronos, and he was there in no more than a few seconds. Did I not tell you to leave? Cronos s voice echoed through the large room. They were ready for him, though. Two of the bastards charged him from behind. One of them had a large stick, and before Jada could more than scream a warning, Cronos was beaten down to his knees. Cronos! Jada reached out to him in her mind. Tell me what to do! I don t know what to do! But Cronos was dazed. She could feel his confusion and inability to focus on the problem at hand. The priests continued to strike Cronos over and over. He fought, but there were too many of them. Jada sprang from the bed and attacked one of them, but he batted her away like she was a fly. Feeling helpless, afraid for Cronos s life, Jada snapped. She called upon the power of the water, drawing it to her. The sea surged to life, and she pulled it to her with all her might. There was a great splintering sound, and shards of razor-sharp glass rained down on them through the opening in the chamber ceiling, followed by an enormous rush of seawater. Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 28 Which created another problem. Not only was she going to kill all the intruding priests, but Cronos as well. NO! she screamed, desperate to do something --anything --to save Cronos from what she d done. Raphael! Blindly, she reached for him. He was on his way here, but she was too hysterical to concentrate on making herself heard. Instead, she found the air. Without thinking about it, she snagged it, focused it and blew the sea away from Cronos. Her eyes made contact with Cronos. He looked at her in wonder, just before he passed out. * * * Raphael raced to Cronos and Jada. He was surprised when he was knocked out of the sky by a pocket of turbulent air. One second he was streaking across the sky, the next he was tumbling head over heels toward the ground. NO! The female scream in his mind knocked him even farther off balance and a few moments later, he hit the ground with a bone-jarring thud. What the hell was going on? A deafening crash splintered the crystalline vibration. Raphael snapped his head up, and the sight numbed him from head to toe. Water from the sea poured into the dome from the very center, down into the temple. A thin stream crashed into the ancient building. He expected to see waves of the stuff pour into the city and swallow each land ring one by one. Actually, he was puzzled as to how such a phenomenon was happening in the first place. Once the dome was breached, the water should have simply crushed the city to nothing. Another mental scream and Raphael felt something pulling at him. At first he thought it was his imagination, then he began to weaken. His limbs grew heavy, and even his smaller secondary wing sets were too leaden to move. He groaned and tried to push off the invisible attacker, but he was already too weak. Never had he been hit with Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 29 a power draining attack so quickly. Moments later, everything stopped. The silence was total. Nothing moved. Cronos, what s going on? It s the priests. Can you get to us? Something wasn t right with Cronos. His mental communication was weaker than Raphael had ever heard it. I was knocked out of the sky, but yes. Hurry. Jada needs you. Cronos, what s happened? Silence. Cronos? It took him less than ten minutes to reach the temple. Once he landed, he found Jada sobbing brokenly in Cronos s arms. Holding her close, Cronos met his eyes with the helpless look most men have when dealing with a crying woman. Cronos gently turned her to face him, and it was then Raphael noticed the blood soaking the deep blue gossamer gown adorning her body. Raphael shot Cronos a sharp look and noticed the blood in his white-blond hair. What the hell happened? Raphael s anger wasn t directed at anyone in particular, rather at whatever had caused Cronos and Jada s distress. Jada didn t take it as such. She looked fearfully from Raphael to Cronos and back again. They hit him from behind. Jada sniffled, tears streaming down her face. He was trying to protect me and I nearly killed him. That was when Raphael noticed the group of about ten priests in various places around Jada s bedchamber. They were encased in seawater, frozen solid. He inhaled deeply. That explained who had drained him, and why. She had used his control over air to cool the water to super cold temperatures. But it didn t explain how. A question for later. Cronos. Jada s voice cracked and she looked scared as hell. I didn t mean to hurt you. And I tried to call out to you, Raphael, but I couldn t. I felt you fall just as Cronos did. She looked back at the frozen priests and shivered. I think they would have beaten him to death. Raphael looked sharply at Cronos. They tried to kill you? Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 30 - Cronos shrugged. The sexual energy of a goddess is addictive, and I took their drug away. As it was, they simply cracked my skull. Thankfully, I m a bit hardheaded. Scowling and definitely not amused, Raphael turned away. So tell me again how we are different from these bastards. You know how our situation is different. Jada scrubbed her face with her hands. I may be a sucky goddess, but I m still an adult. She glared at both of them. I d appreciate you not talking about me as though I weren t here. My apologies, Goddess. Cronos sighed wearily. I think the blow went to my head. He snorted, a little humor where only despair existed. He looked her in the eyes then. It was rude of us and it won t happen again. She blinked several times. Obviously she hadn t expected an apology of any kind, much less one so eloquent. I --She swallowed. Thanks. She turned to Raphael. I m sorry I borrowed your connection with air, but it was the only way I could save Cronos. If I had simply flooded the chamber, it would have killed all of us. Her look was pleading now. It was the only thing I could think of. You saved the life of my oldest friend. I can t be anything but grateful. Reaching out to her, Raphael brushed her face gently. The tears from her cheek glistened like diamonds on his fingertips. Impulsively, he brought them to his lips and sucked the two damp digits into his mouth. Jada drew in a sharp breath, and her beautiful face colored just a shade. Cronos stepped behind Jada and placed a hand on either shoulder. We have some time before our guests arrive. We should talk. Jada shivered again and glanced nervously toward the frozen priests. Can we get rid of them? I don t want to have to look at what I did any longer. She looked pleadingly back at Cronos, then at Raphael. Raphael smiled. Of course, Jada. But you didn t do anything wrong. I killed a third of my priests! I d say that was pretty wrong. Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 31 Walking to the chamber entrance, Raphael opened the great door. Intending to call for servants, he didn t have to. It looked like the remainder of the priesthood waited outside Jada s door. Raphael s wings bristled with distaste. Remove them. He pointed to the frozen bodies. What have you done? One of the men looked accusingly from the two men in the room to Jada. Raphael stepped in front of the priest, breaking his line of sight. She did what she had to do. You should take a good look. The Goddess of Water is no longer your puppet, and any attempt to treat her as such will incur her wrath. Raphael heard Jada s indrawn breath, but she remained silent. The priest tried to look past Raphael, but he simply extended his wings and folded his arms across his chest. Surprisingly, the remaining priests didn t argue, and it took only a few minutes to remove all traces of the ice encased men. When they were alone once again, Raphael approached Jada, now firmly enclosed in Cronos s arms. You have feelings for Cronos, yes? Raphael was ready to cut to the chase. The sooner Jada knew how her future could unfold, the better he d feel. Jada dropped her head a moment before looking Raphael squarely in the eye. I have loved Cronos since the first day I came here. Then you would have no problems taking him as a mate? Jada s eyes widened slightly, and she faltered. I --I don t know what you mean. Raphael took a couple of steps closer to Jada and Cronos. Destiny is an evolving thing. We all may be meant to do one thing, but choose to do something else. You have many choices you can make, and none of them necessarily wrong. What Cronos and I have to tell you is but one possibility. You re speaking in riddles. The spark was back in Jada s eyes. She hated being confused. This was a woman who wanted control of her life back. Raphael smiled. I suppose I am. So. Jada stepped away from Cronos. Spell it out for me. Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 32 You love Cronos, but you have a very strong attraction to me as well, don t you? Raphael raised a hand to her face and brushed the line of her finely chiseled cheekbone. Eyes tearing, Jada blinked rapidly, preventing them from falling. I suppose I do She trailed off, looking at Cronos. The pleading in her eyes when she looked back to Raphael broke his heart. This woman loved Cronos with everything in her. How much room for love do you have in your heart, Jada? Can you try to love us both? Cronos spoke softly at her ear. Raphael watched carefully as what they were asking became clear to the little goddess. At first, he thought she d slap someone. Then, he watched emotions flick across her face rapidly. Anger. Disbelief. Curiosity. Denial Possibility. Jada couldn t believe what she was hearing. Cronos hadn t so much as acknowledged her as a woman before today and she had only just met Raphael. Yet, here they were, and what they were proposing was the most disgusting thing she d ever heard of! Wasn t it? She d spent the last twenty years yearning to be able to belong to one man instead of passed from one to another like a piece of meat. Now, they had the nerve to ask her to What? Love them both? No one had ever asked for her love. Her body, yes. That had been demanded of her. If it weren t for Cronos, she d have lost the capacity to enjoy physical love altogether. If this union was important to him, couldn t she at least see where it led? You re right, Raphael. I do feel a physical attraction for you. In fact, I doubt I could resist you unless I was terrified of you, which I m not. She moved away, paced across the room and turned to look at them both. But, I still wouldn t even consider what you re asking if Cronos didn t seem in favor of it. Don t get me wrong, she Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 33 continued when Raphael opened his mouth to speak, it has nothing to do with you personally. I just don t want to have to trust anyone ever again. Jada turned away again and looked out the balcony at the beauty that was Atlantis. All trust does is set you up to be hurt. You don t really believe that, Jada. Cronos s soft footfalls came up behind her, and she thought he might reach out to her. But he didn t. The man s ability to know what she needed was uncanny. He wouldn t try to influence her in any way. She d have to say the same for Raphael when he didn t protest or argue with her, and that thought was unsettling. Was this really possible? Even after everything she d been through? I do, Cronos. To a certain extent. She sighed. Raphael is your friend, and you are the most honorable man I know. I doubt you d be supporting this if you didn t believe it was what s best for me. After all --She turned and stepped into his embrace, circling his neck with her arms. --you ve looked out for me for twenty years. Neither of us could have stopped what happened, but you always knew when I couldn t take anymore. She pulled back to frame his face in her hands. For that, you ve earned my trust for the rest of my life. She looked to Raphael. And if you say this man is worthy of the same trust, then I m sure he is. She reached a hand out to Raphael. I m just honestly not sure if I m capable of loving you both. Raphael lowered his head and sighed. Then he brought her knuckles to his lips and kissed them gently. I ll just have to show you that you can. When Raphael pulled Jada gently toward him, she didn t even think to resist. It was as natural as breathing. Feeling a sudden need to prove herself, to prove she really could give Raphael a chance to win her heart, Jada moved from Cronos s arms and stood on her tiptoes to press her lips against Raphael s. He groaned and rested his hands on her hips, as if unsure he could get away with pulling her closer to him. She quickly remedied that situation by closing her arms around his neck and pulling him to her. Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 34 - Jada was unprepared for the sexual rush when he licked the seam of her lips tenderly. There was nothing invasive about the gesture. He was simply asking permission, which she was only too happy to grant. Jada opened her lips, letting her own tongue follow his lead. She wanted to control the direction of their love play, but was content to let Raphael pleasure her as thoroughly as he could through each phase. Their tongues danced, twined mated. She lost herself in him until she felt a second set of hands on her ribcage, and another mouth on her shoulder. Cronos. With a sigh, Jada broke the kiss reluctantly, hesitantly, and looked into Raphael s eyes. They blazed with hunger. He wanted her, but he wouldn t force or even coerce her into anything she wasn t ready for. With a slow, deliberate movement, Jada turned to Cronos and searched his eyes for a hint of what he felt. She saw only love and devotion. Love for her. Love for his friend. She stood there, sandwiched between them both, and the only thought she could hold in her mind decided her fate. This was where she belonged. Chapter Five It had taken everything in Raphael to leave Jada and Cronos, but someone had to meet Pyros and Allison. He had volunteered because he was the logical choice. Jada was still getting used to her feelings for him, and she needed Cronos s familiar presence to soothe her, to keep her calm if not serene as she should be. The couple met him outside the temple and Allison ran up the steps the moment he emerged. Anxiety covered her beautiful features, though Pyros showed nothing of his feelings. What happened? I saw the water. The dome? Her jumbled questions confirmed her worry, and Raphael eased her immediately. All is well. Jada defended herself for possibly the first time in her life as a goddess. He smiled wryly. I think she got her point across. Is she well? Pyros spoke softly as he glanced up at the dome. I sense spots in the Life Dome where fire is particularly weak. I can strengthen them if you like. Raphael nodded. It would be greatly appreciated. Have your mate help, if she is willing. We will need her input more than any other as to how to maintain the balance of all the elements. Allison nodded, not saying anything. Raphael suspected she was already analyzing the problems she had to solve. Raphael had turned to go back inside the temple, leaving Pyros and Allison to their work, when Allison stopped him. I would very much like to meet the Goddess of Water. Of course. Raphael led the way, knocking on the chamber door softly. Cronos opened the door and looked directly at Pyros. Cronos was the gentlest man Raphael knew, but his protective instincts where Jada was concerned turned him into a man to be reckoned with. Allison wishes to meet with Jada. I think it s a good idea. Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 36 - Cronos visibly relaxed and he smiled apologetically. I m sorry, Fire God. I didn t mean to offend. Pyros simply nodded. No offense taken. I would protect my woman as zealously. Allison slid smoothly past the men into the chamber. Jada was resting on the huge bed dominating one corner of the room. A surge of lust shot through Raphael. He sucked in a breath as Jada stretched and sat up, legs tucked under her. When she realized there were guests in the room, she slid from the bed with all the grace of a mermaid dancing in the sea. Allison, mate to Pyros, God of Fire, I greet thee. Jada dipped her head as she spoke. Only she would greet the mate of a god in such a way. Jada offered every respect to the other woman, even by rising to greet her when she could have stayed seated. Raphael smiled. I don t mean to be rude, but have you come to teach me about the Life Dome? Allison looked back to Pyros, then Cronos and Raphael. I mean to try, but you and I need to talk about this. I understand you ve had problems with your priests since becoming Goddess of Water. You have to know what my teachings with the runes is going to mean to you in this instance. She took a step nearer Jada and rested a caramel colored hand against Jada s fair, slightly blue cheek. The supportive, delicate gesture combined with the contrast in feminine skin color sent a shiver through Raphael. Allison looked back at the men. As do our mates. She smiled. But one thing at a time. You guys --She pointed to the chamber door. -- out. Close the door behind you and go someplace else. Jada thought for a second that none of the three imposing male figures was going to budge. Then Raphael sighed, took Cronos s arm and pulled. Come. You too, Pyros. The ladies need to be alone. Pyros chuckled. Cronos cringed. I don t want to think about it. Yes you do, same as I do. Raphael s chuckle mirrored Pyros s. Now go. Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 37 Once the chamber door was closed, Jada turned her attention to the striking woman before her. Allison was beautiful, but Jada got the impression she was in the middle of a transition in her looks. It was as if she had once been delicate, and was now becoming strong -- almost harsh -- but only because the fire demanded it of her. I get the feeling what you have to say to me might not be something I m going to like. Jada wrapped her arms around herself. Allison smiled and turned to pace across the room a little way. Turning back to Jada, Allison spread her arms. I am a woman. Just like you, Jada. You may be a goddess, I may be the mate to a god, but we were both nothing more than extraordinary women once. Perhaps. Jada didn t know how else to answer. She had felt so alone at times, like no one really understood what it was like. Not just because of the duties of a goddess, but because her body had been used for everyone s pleasure but her own. She had even begun to think of herself as more of a whore than a goddess. But you haven t been through what I have, she finished quietly. No. But I think I can help you. The statement caught Jada off guard. I don t know what you mean. She was wary, but curious. What do you want most, Jada? You mean besides being that ordinary woman you said I once was? No. I mean precisely that. Jada blinked several times, unbalanced. She could feel the water s presence still, as though waiting for something. Allison continued. You can never be the goddess you were born to be unless you want to be. The elements will not force you into being a guardian --they can t. You have merely been selected as having the highest potential of anyone else on earth during your time. Allison smiled. Besides, I think you love your communion with the water. Have you noticed how your skin and hair have changed over the years? Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 38 Yes. Jada wanted to cry. She did love the times she was able to sneak out into the ocean. Since becoming Goddess of Water, the ocean called to her. The first time she immersed her mind and body in the sea, she had discovered mermaids did, in fact, exist. At least one did. Her. That day she had discovered wonders the likes of which she had never imagined. She d also discovered things about Atlantis s underwater geography that had frightened her, though she was still putting most of the pieces together. What you and I must do, Jada, will require tremendous energy. The runes I use are very powerful, but they will not work on their own. If all the Elementals were here, you might possibly be able to use your influence alone over each element to achieve what needs doing. But since my runes will be the principal mechanism of reconstruction, your power alone won t work. Only sexual energy will give us the boost we need. The statement was so off the course of what Jada was thinking, she shrank away before she thought. Hadn t it been only a little while ago that she was eager for sex with both Cronos and Raphael? I see the thought disturbs you. Why? You said you knew of the problems I had with the priests. How can you possibly ask that question if you know? You love Cronos. I saw that clearly. I know he loves you and I believe Raphael does too. Don t you want to see what they can make you feel? Jada bowed her head and turned away. That s just it. What if they can t make me feel anything? At least, not that acute lust that seems to create power. She heard Allison moving toward her, but wasn t prepared for her hair to be swept over one shoulder and to feel feminine lips place a gentle kiss on the back of her neck. When we start creating the runes, there can t be any hesitation on your part. If the flow of sexual energy is tainted with doubt --she placed a kiss on Jada s bare shoulder -- the runes will not fit together properly. Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 39 What are you doing? Jada was becoming aroused, and it caught her completely off guard. She d never experienced anything like this. I ve never - Which is a good thing. If the act is completely foreign to you, you won t perceive it as you do any other act of sex. Allison s hands found Jada s waist and moved upward to cup her breasts through the thin material of her gown. Jada s breath caught. This is for the good of Atlantis, right? Allison s questing hands stopped. No. Allison urged her to turn and when Jada faced the other woman, she was surprised again by the tenderness in Allison s face. This is for you, Goddess of Water. This is the first step in healing yourself, and regaining your sexuality. You need this if you are to give your heart freely to both those men who love you so very much. What of you? Jada managed when Allison again stroked her breasts, causing her nipples to tighten and harden. You are mated. Won t Pyros be angry? My mate knows that what I do now, I do for you. Besides, he knows he will reap the benefits. Allison bent at the waist and gently sucked one puckered nipple into her mouth through the material covering it. Jada gasped and brought her hands to Allison s crimson streaked hair. See? Allison spoke between little nips. Your body hasn t forgotten the joys of sex. Allison eased the strap at Jada s shoulder down her arm. The gown followed until it hung from Jada s waist by the belt. What we do now is but a taste of what Cronos and Raphael will show you. I think you know that. Jada knew she should say something, but for the life of her she couldn t think what. Allison didn t really do much, just kissed and caressed her breasts, but the strangeness of it combined with the sensation itself merged to give her intense pleasure. Pleasure she had forgotten could exist. Take off your gown, Goddess. Let me bring you to the brink of ecstasy, then we ll talk about the men. Feeling like she was in a dream, Jada slipped the golden band from her waist. The gown followed, pooling at her feet. Allison moved with exquisite grace onto the bed and Jada followed, feeling like anything but a goddess. She felt like a virgin. Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 40 Which is what Allison intended all along. Jada stopped resisting. What better way to cleanse a woman of a man s touch than with another woman s? Allison s hands worked magic on Jada s body. She started at Jada s feet and massaged her way up her calves and thighs. Jada s hands and arms were next, and Allison urged her to roll over onto her stomach. Jada shivered with each touch, each caress. Allison played her body like a finely tuned violin, and none of her touches, save the few kisses to her breasts at the start, were sexual. Allison kneaded and squeezed her shoulders and trailed her fingers lightly over Jada s back and thighs. All the while, she spoke softly. You are perhaps the strongest woman to ever hold this position since the first. I doubt anyone, myself included, could endure what you have with no complaint. Allison lingered on the small of Jada s back, just above her buttocks. Cronos is very proud of you. I can see it every time he looks at you. And Raphael is distracted by your beauty and vulnerability. He sees a woman who needs his protection, not because she can t take care of herself, but because she tries to protect others instead of herself. Neither of them knows the real me. Jada took a deep breath. Cronos does. Allison never missed a beat. He knows more about you than you know about yourself. Allison urged Jada onto her back and looked into her eyes. Tiny flames sparked and twinkled in Allison s eyes. Jada stared transfixed into those eyes, unable to look away. Allison took her time descending on Jada, and when she covered Jada s mouth with hers, Jada sighed and relaxed into the kiss. Allison s tongue flicked delicately at Jada s lips, the gesture both soothing and arousing. Jada couldn t help but kiss her back. Both women sighed. You know their lips will feel much better than mine, Allison went on while she kissed and touched her way down Jada s body. Their hands are much larger and rougher than mine. What will they feel like touching you like this? Her fingertips grazed the sides of Jada s breasts and ribcage until they rested on her flat belly. Jada Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 41 never knew a woman s touch could create such sensations! Her belly fluttered with excitement, her pussy moistening with every clever brush of fingers, hands and lips across her body. When Allison didn t say anything else, Jada opened her eyes. Funny, she hadn t realized they had been closed. Would you want them to move lower, to eat your beautiful pussy? For the life of her, Jada couldn t form a response. Allison s words, as much as the woman herself, caused Jada s arousal. Yes, the feminine touches drove her wild, but the images of the same touches being delivered by both Cronos and Raphael created a sexual high Jada had never before experienced. Allison held Jada s gaze, having slid her way down Jada s body until she lay on her belly between Jada s bent knees. They need you, Jada. Not your power, not your status as a goddess you. Jada, the woman. Allison s breath was warm on her flesh, and Jada trembled with excited anticipation. For several seconds, they looked at each other, neither moving, Jada barely breathing. Tell me what you want, Goddess of Water. Allison s whisper was so soft, Jada barely heard her. But Jada understood her meaning. I want you to lick me. Jada was almost ashamed of how needy she sounded. Almost. Why? Why, indeed? Why was she asking these questions when all in the world Jada wanted at this moment was I want to come, Jada whispered, the wonder of it hitting her like a ton of bricks. Bless the Deep, I want to come! Allison sat up and grinned. Exactly. She moved from the bed and extended a hand to Jada, an offer to help her to her feet. Jada took it because she didn t know what else to do. Standing there, naked, she Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 42 felt, well, naked. This woman had taken her to the brink of ecstasy -- just like she d said - only to leave her there, wanting. Why did you stop? Because --Walking to the chamber door, Allison smiled. Fulfilling your sexual desire is not my job. Showing you there still was sexual desire within you is the reason I came to you. You are very good at your job, Allison. Thank you. You can thank me by preparing yourself for your men. Allison paused at the door before opening it. I meant what I said, Jada. There can be no hesitation. If we don t fit the runes together properly, the whole process will have been for nothing. We ll be right back where we started, and too drained to do anything about it. I seriously doubt you have to worry about that. I didn t think so. You have not survived as long as you have by ignoring the obvious. If you give yourself freely to someone who cares about you, you will not leave dissatisfied. Allison s words lingered long after the woman herself had departed. Jada couldn t help but laugh. It felt good. Chapter Six The joyful sound of Jada s laughter filtered down the halls of the great temple. The sound caught Cronos off guard. It was a sound he hadn t expected to ever hear in this place, with this goddess. It warmed his heart and gave him hope. He, Raphael and Pyros had passed the time quietly by the garden fountain within the temple complex. He noted Pyros looked back toward the goddess s chamber from time to time, but he never said a word. Cronos was dying inside not knowing what the women were saying. When he said so, Raphael pointed out that what they were doing was, quite possibly, more important. The images that sparked were best left alone. A few moments after Jada s laughter faded, Cronos decided it was time to see what had restored her joy. Rising from his seat by the pool, he marched to the door and knocked rapidly three times on the solid wood. He would not breach her privacy unless invited. Dropping his hand back to his side, Cronos stumbled as a large body bumped into him. It was Raphael. What are you waiting for? Go in! Raphael sounded very impatient. Looking over his shoulder, Cronos almost laughed. Raphael was very obviously horny as hell. I m waiting for her to invite us in. And contain yourself when you enter. He gave Raphael what he hoped was his best no nonsense look. My threat to kill anyone who disrespects her extends to you as well. Raphael snorted. You should know me better than that, Cronos. When Cronos would have turned back to the door, Raphael stopped him with a hand on his shoulder. But thanks for the reminder, anyway. Cronos smiled. Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 44 Just as the door opened to reveal the splendidly nude Jada. It shouldn t have affected Cronos the way it did. He had seen Jada and held her naked in his arms more times than he could count. It always aroused him, but this time, he thought his cock might explode! The mental link he shared with Raphael told him the other man was in an even worse state than himself. She opened the door herself and moved back a couple of steps to admit them. The smile on her face was radiant and Cronos swore the soft, artificial daylight that illuminated Atlantis during the waking hours grew even brighter. Her hair, both on her head and covering her mons, was a slightly darker combination of blues and whites than it had been only an hour before. Her skin had also changed. Her lips and nipples were colored a creamy white, tinged with only the slightest hint of blue, where they had been pink before. Her transformation was complete! What in the universe could Allison have said to bring harmony in Jada s mind with who and what she was? Goddess. Raphael sounded as awed as Cronos felt. Would she accept them? Could she accept them? Joy and love radiated from the link they all shared. Cronos. Raphael. She took each of their hands and led them inside. Show me what I should have known all along. Show me the pleasure we can have together. What the hell did Allison say to you? Raphael s question, voiced in only a hoarse croak, mirrored Cronos s own. Jada laughed. That s just between us girls. All you need to know is I intend on having my first orgasm with a man since before I became Goddess of Water. Now. She backed away from them, moving toward the bed in the corner of the chamber and crooking a finger at them. Do you want to stand there, or help? Are you sure about this, Jada? Cronos wanted her to be absolutely sure, but he couldn t deny what he saw before him. She had achieved balance within herself, but that didn t mean she had defeated the one thing that had held her prisoner in her own body for so long. Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 45 I m finally at peace with myself, Cronos. Jada spoke softly and looked at both him and Raphael. I can feel the difference inside of me. My body s needs have come to terms with my mind s fear. I m finally free. Raphael decided he d heard enough. If she said she wanted them, who was he to argue? Besides, if she seemed like she was in distress, he d stop. Right now, he wanted to see if her nipples tasted as good as they looked. In two strides, he was next to her, latching onto her right breast, and swirled his tongue around her nipple. Jada s giggle was followed by a sigh that sounded as content as a woman could get. Before long, he saw Cronos nipping and sucking her left breast, and Jada held them to her tightly. Her moans were music to his ears. Raphael intended for those wonderful sighs to go on and on and on Cronos never thought he d hear such sounds of pleasure coming from Jada during sex, but then again, this wasn t just sex. He intended to pour every ounce of love he d held back from her into this act. If Raphael could add his own brand of love and pleasure, so much the better. Allison had been right. No matter how much pleasure she had given Jada, the men felt so much better. She was right about something else too --Jada loved Cronos with all her heart, and she knew it would be easy to love Raphael just as much. The way they both wanted her, wanted to pleasure her before pleasuring themselves, was such a novelty she almost laughed at the absurdity of putting up with anything less for so many years. These men weren t there to use her body as a receptacle for their cocks -- they were there to show her how much they cared. Doing his best to be mindful of Jada s responses to both himself and Raphael, Cronos lifted Jada and placed her on the bed. Raphael removed his clothing and stretched all six wings, trembling and quivering in lust --a testament to his need and willpower. Once she lay on the bed, arms and legs spread, knees bent, Cronos went about removing his own clothing. Jada s eyes widened and so did her grin when her gaze moved to his. Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 46 Raphael wasted no time settling himself on his belly between her legs. He wrapped his forearms around her thighs and dove in. Jada s shriek filled the bedchamber and she thrust her pelvis at Raphael. Any doubts about whether or not she had been serious were instantly quelled. Pleasuring a goddess in such a manner wasn t like pleasuring any other woman. Raphael knew this firsthand, as he d pleasured Angelina many times in the past when she d needed release. A goddess s cunt was ambrosia. Men and women would do anything for a taste, and vaginal penetration was the greatest bliss in any universe. Cronos was right. Such could very well become addictive. Sex with a god or goddess also created a tremendous amount of raw, unfocused energy. Raphael suspected direction of that energy was how Allison planned to use her runes. Not that he particularly cared. He was busy with his tongue buried as deep as he could get it in Jada s pussy, his nose nudging her clit. It was the next best thing to being buried balls deep inside her. Soon. But not now. Not yet. Cronos watched Jada gain obvious pleasure from Raphael s attentions and smiled. She really was enjoying herself. It struck him then that he d never heard Jada cry out in anything but protest or pain. The musical sound of her cries now made his cock pulse. Cronos knelt beside Jada and lowered his mouth to hers. She tried to devour him, but he was determined to drag this out as long as possible. She deserved it. He pulled back only to descend once again, placing feather light kisses across her face and jaw. Jada grabbed his hair, but he only smiled and disengaged her fingers carefully. Then he started over again, trailing down to her breasts and the valley in between. Her moans and sighs and sharp little shrieks when either he or Raphael hit a sensitive spot Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 47 encouraged him and warmed his heart. He dipped his tongue inside her navel, and when he swirled around the rim, Jada lifted her pelvis and screamed. Raphael used the unexpected leverage to flip Jada to her stomach. She never questioned what was happening --rather she lifted her ass in the air and rose to her knees. She would have supported her upper body with her hands, but Cronos applied gentle pressure to her back, kissing and licking up her spine. Relax, my beautiful goddess. Enjoy yourself. She groaned and parted her legs a little farther. I am. Raphael chuckled as he took a wet lick from her parted legs, pausing to nip her left buttock. You re relaxed or you re enjoying yourself? Both. Sweet Atlantis! she squealed when Raphael buried his face between her legs once again. Cronos would have laughed if his cock hadn t been about to explode. Watching Jada come into herself sexually as a goddess was the most arousing thing he d ever witnessed. She shifted her upper body slightly and looked straight at his cock. When she reached for it, Cronos almost blew it right there. Literally. But this wasn t about him. Not now. Not yet. He evaded her hand and captured it in his own, bringing it to his lips. Wait, my sweet. There will be time enough for that. He knelt and kissed her again. Cronos maneuvered himself so that his face was underneath hers, his body stretched out away from her. All she had to do was crawl down his body and they could pleasure each other orally. Well, she could have if Raphael hadn t been holding on to her ass. Cronos hooked a hand at the back of her neck and pulled her to him. Her tongue dove into his mouth, swirling around his own and driving him wild. Her breathing was deep and erratic, and Cronos knew they were getting to her. Every now and then, he d hear Raphael grunt or moan. Even more prevalent were the sounds of wet female flesh being pleasured with lips and tongue and fingers. Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 48 Reaching above him, Cronos ensnared a firm breast in each hand. Jada nipped his bottom lip when he pinched her nipples and rolled them between his fingers. Raphael must have done something as well, because Jada s shriek probably awakened several creatures residing in the deep near Atlantis. Jada raised herself up on her hands and looked back over her shoulder. What the hell are you doing? NO! Don t stop! Whatever Raphael was doing to her ass was nothing short of miraculous. She d always cringed when anyone touched her anus because it always led to pain. This, however, promised to lead her to the ultimate sexual fulfillment. I take it you like? Raphael chuckled and did it again. That was when she realized he had pushed his tongue just inside the ring of muscles at her anus to swirl around the sphincter. Great Goddess, yes! She was so close to climax, one swipe to her clit would have brought her more pleasure than she had ever dreamed of. She reached between her legs to stimulate herself, but a hand stayed her own. At first, she thought it was Cronos, but the hand was too soft, too small. Allison! Not yet, Jada. The other woman s whisper sent chills down Jada s spine and added to her pleasurable torture. We will begin the process of strengthening the dome. What does that have to do with me touching myself? Jada was becoming desperate for release. She d waited too long for this, much too long. Then she wanted to show Raphael and Cronos how much she appreciated what they had done for her. We will require a tremendous release of sexual energy to pull this off, Jada. Allison was patient in her explanation. None of you can climax until the process is finished and I have placed the necessary runes on your bodies. It will be the fusion that seals the runes together. Three groans of frustration followed, yet no one stopped, as if they understood the importance of what they were doing. Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 49 - Pyros and I have already laid the groundwork. Allison continued her explanation. But I will need to complete the final series of runes with the Goddess of Water in my presence. What must we do? Raphael sounded pained, but he kept stroking Jada s body. You must keep the sexual tension as high as you can, not just in her but in yourselves. I will work with Pyros to create runes around the three of you. She walked around the trio, as if deciding what she was going to put where. After that is complete, I ll cover Jada s body in runes. Jada wanted to protest, but bit her lip. If Allison said it was necessary, it was necessary. Lastly, I ll give Cronos and Raphael a rune that will fuse their energy to yours. When you climax, you must all climax together. I don t mean to question you, but don t you think we could do this later? Do you honestly think that any other time today -- this week even -- the three of you will have as much sexual tension as there is right now? OK, so she had a point. Allison continued. If this is going to work, there has to be as much raw energy as possible. The runes on Jada s body will give it focus and direction. When you climax, all that energy will fuse the runes Pyros and I set across the dome. Raphael dipped his tongue back into Jada s anus, and Allison s words were punctuated by Jada s moan. You ve heard the saying fight fire with fire ? That s what we re doing. The Life Dome is meant to hold back the sea. Any of the other elements would fight against the sea, but water will give the dome the balance it needs to function in harmony with the sea. Cronos didn t really give a damn at the moment. As far as he was concerned, he had two tasks. First, he had to create as much tension in Jada as possible. Second, he couldn t come. The second was going to be decidedly more difficult than the first. He was aware of Allison and Pyros moving around the room, but he soon lost all concern for anything other than the woman above him. Jada had started kissing him again, and he could have cheerfully gone on kissing her like that forever. Every now and then, she would cry out or nip his lip or chin, and Cronos knew Raphael was doing something wonderful to her. Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 50 Time passed and they took Jada to the very peak so many times, Cronos thought their woman might kill them if she didn t get some relief very soon. He thought he might kill Pyros and Allison if they didn t hurry the fuck up! He was so absorbed in his kissing and fondling of Jada and with not coming that he hadn t realized Allison had begun the runes on Jada s body until Jada was lifted and Cronos watched as she rose above him. Get up, Cronos. Raphael looked stressed beyond anything Cronos had ever seen in him. His face glistened from nose to chin with what Cronos could only assume was Jada s intimate moisture. Raphael snatched the tube of lubricant Pyros handed him and lay down, reaching for Jada as he did. He positioned Jada on her back atop his chest and Cronos quickly took up a position between Raphael s legs. Raphael lubricated his cock generously. Moments later, Cronos watched in fascination as its head disappeared into Jada s ass. She screamed. At first Cronos thought she was in pain, so he tried to stop Raphael. If either of you stop now, she panted, I swear I ll kill you both. Raphael obviously didn t need any further encouragement, because in one swift stroke, he slid all the way into her ass. Situating himself, Raphael bent his knees and draped Jada s legs over the outside of his. She was spread open for Cronos and all he had to do was slide himself into her. But before he did that, he wanted a taste of her. He dipped his head to her glistening pussy and flicked her swollen clit with his tongue. It wasn t enough. He wanted more. Again, he ducked to her sex, and this time, he plunged his tongue inside her pussy as far as he could. When Raphael moved slightly, fluid oozed from Jada s cunt and Cronos feasted. Move away from her, Cronos. A firm but gentle hand on his shoulder followed the deep voice. Pyros urged Cronos away from Jada, and Allison made a few strokes with a brush just above Jada s pubic area. Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 51 - Jada was covered in intricately designed, dark blue runes from head to toe. Her skin had become a deeper blue and it looked like very small, shiny blue scales had been stuck to her legs and hips. They sparkled like blue diamonds. She looked sexy as hell! Finally, Allison approached him and touched her fingers to his chin. Raising his head, she painted a rune in the center of his forehead before stepping back. Now, build the sexual energy as high as you can. Remember, you must come at the same time. Jada. Cronos had to make sure she was OK. He knew sometimes it was easy to mistake distress for passion and vice versa. This experience, no matter how necessary, was not going to be something she would remember as just another necessity. Are you sure you want this? Not because you see it as the only way to save Atlantis, but because you really want this. If it s only for Atlantis, we ll find another way, I swear to you. Jada threw her head back and gasped as Raphael made a particularly deep and forceful thrust. You ve got to be kidding! She pulled her legs up beside her torso, hands behind her knees. It was the best invitation she could have made. Come inside, Cronos. We ve waited too long for this. Raphael grunted and cupped Jada s breasts, plucking her nipples into hard peaks. Sliding his hands down her body, he pulled her knees farther apart and back, holding them for her. She reached for Cronos s cock and guided him to her with a smile and a sigh when the head slid in. Cronos clenched his teeth as he eased inside her. The thin layer of tissue separating himself and Raphael might as well have been nonexistent. He could feel every move his friend made, every pulse of Raphael s cock inside Jada s ass. The only thing he wanted more than his own release was Jada s. For a while, they moved like that --slowly, tentatively --learning the feel of each other and the odd positioning. Raphael turned Jada s face to his and met her lips with his, while Cronos sucked a pale nipple into his mouth and laved it with his tongue. Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 52 Her body was magnificent! It was uniquely beautiful --the body of a goddess. When he guided his cock into her pussy, he had noticed that it was the same pale blue as her nipples and lips. The unique hue was a beautiful and arousing addition to her transformation. Sweat covered Raphael s body. Jada s ass was tight to begin with, but the addition of Cronos s cock made her so tight it was almost painful. It certainly didn t aid him in not coming. Every second he spent inside her body was another hour of pleasurable torture. He couldn t come until she did, and they had to make her hold off as long as they could. They could do it --of that, Raphael had no doubt. But would he survive when he actually did climax? At this point, he wouldn t be surprised if he shot a rocket out of his dick when he came. He kissed Jada. Those lovely pale lips were as sweet as they had been the first time he d kissed her. Her tongue was just as lively and adventurous. The little whimpers escaping her throat caused his dick to pulse that much more. To know he was part of such pleasure where there was none before was the most humbling and arousing thing he had ever imagined. She moved against both of them and Raphael thought he d lost his battle to keep from coming. But somehow, he managed to hang on by sheer force of will. Pulling away from her mouth, he bit his cheek to keep from shooting off deep inside her ass. In all the years of being taken advantage of and abused, the one thing Jada had managed to avoid was this exact act. Her ass and pussy had been used, but never at the same time. She had simply tried to avoid as much pain as possible. Now she was glad she had something of herself to give to these two wonderful men that had not already been taken. Her body tingled where the runes touched her, lower body heating and her pussy wet with passion. Her body was covered with sweat, as were the bodies of both men. Water. Her domain. Her men. Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 53 Freeing her legs from Raphael s gentle grip, she wrapped her ankles around Cronos s neck for leverage and moved her body against their cocks. Both men groaned, and Cronos tried to pry her legs loose. Jada, honey. I can t hold off if you do that. Cronos croaked out his protest, even as his hips met hers thrust after thrust. Raphael tried to hold her still, but neither of them really had the will to stop the explosion about to take place. Jada was in complete control. She pumped against them, harder and faster until she knew her own climax was imminent. I m going to come! she screamed. Now! Do it now! The runes on her legs began to glow a vibrant, electric blue as the pleasure radiated from her pussy. Once she reached the point of no return, they glowed brighter and brighter. She couldn t see Raphael, but the rune on Cronos s forehead glowed the same beautiful blue. When their climaxes hit them, the lighted runes floated from their resting places to merge and, with the burst of pleasure from all three of them, surged together and exploded toward the artificial sky. The open air of the chamber allowed them to witness the runes flight and eventual fusion with the other runes situated on the undersurface of the Life Dome. For several moments, the sky glowed a serene sea-blue, until the runes faded and melted into the physical material of the dome. All three lay panting and gasping for air. Jada was the first to speak. Did we do it? To her own ears, she sounded like she d just finished a marathon. Hell, she felt like her lungs were going to explode. You did indeed. Jada turned her head to her left to see Allison wrapped in Pyros s strong embrace. Both of them had skin as black as night with eyes of fire, and Allison was smiling so brilliantly, Jada was afraid she might spontaneously combust. You performed like the goddess you are. Atlantis is safe. Raphael pushed them all gently until Jada and Cronos tumbled onto their sides, disengaging themselves in the process. It wasn t only me. Jada was too much in awe Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 54 to do more than whisper. I couldn t have done any of that if I hadn t had the two of you. She took another few breaths before continuing. Raphael s strength of will, Cronos s strength of heart it s a heady combination. Cronos kissed her neck and Raphael a breast, their touches seeming designed more to relax than to arouse. Jada sighed and stretched. We must rest. She smiled. Well, at least I must. I m so exhausted, I can t move. Then rest, Jada. They lay sandwiched together --Cronos at her back, Raphael at her front. All is well. She yawned, already in the beginnings of a dream when she said, No, it s not. But it will be. And she was fast asleep. Chapter Seven Why can t you just admit I was right? Raphael awoke to the sound of a high- pitched female voice outside the now open door. Blinking several times to clear the sleep from his eyes, Raphael raised himself up on his elbows to see who had entered. I m still not sure you are right. Talon? What s going on? Cronos was awake as well. The couple looked at each other. Talon looked annoyed. The woman looked smug. Tiana believes the subduction zone in this area is priming itself for something. Talon waved his hand around in a vague gesture. She insisted she see Allison, and I --Talon placed a hand in the center of his chest, left bare by the open edges of an evergreen colored vest. --have the honor of escorting her here. The god rolled his eyes in exasperation and looked back at Tiana. Who was giving him an annoyed look of her own. That s all well and good. Cronos rose from the bed, still naked, and approached them. But why are you outside the chamber of the Goddess of Water? Allison s not here. Tiana rolled her eyes. That s what I was trying to tell him. The tiny, pixie- looking woman poked a finger in the chest of the massive God of Earth --about eye level for Tiana. The woman who let us in the temple told us to go down the hall to the left then take another left. Talon insisted we go right. What s going on? Jada yawned and stretched before pulling the sheet to her chest and sitting up. Her hair was mussed from sleep -- and other things --and her eyes didn t seem to want to open all the way. She was the most beautiful woman Raphael had ever seen. Talon? She smiled when she saw Tiana. Who have you brought with you? Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 56 Talon sighed. This is Tiana, a friend of Allison s and a seismologist -And a geologist, Tiana interrupted, nudging Talon as if he d forgotten an important line in a play. Talon was a very, very large man. At close to seven feet tall, he was all solid bulk and heavy muscle. His skin was a deep brown and his hair was the color of rich soil, hanging just past his shoulders in jagged layers. Tiana was fair skinned and fair haired as well as slight of stature. She looked like a doll next to him. The difference in their sizes didn t stop her from giving him hell. The God of Earth clenched his teeth in an obvious effort to keep his temper under wraps. As I was saying --He never even glanced at her. --Tiana thinks she s found abnormal geological activity along this section of the Ring of Fire, and that something tremendous is about to happen. Raphael was instantly alert. Is Chaos behind it? I haven t sensed him, if he is. Talon s response was immediate. The man obviously had no doubts of his assessment of the situation. Anything that may, or may not happen --He looked sharply at Tiana when she opened her mouth. --is a naturally occurring event. Is the rest of the world aware of what s going on? Cronos, ever the practical one, voiced his concern. No, Tiana huffed. I contacted the USGS, and NOAA, but they can t find anything beyond normal sub-marine volcanic activity along the Marianas Trench. Naturally occurring, Jada mused. No supernatural help. Tiana rolled her eyes. Well, that s usually what naturally occurring means. Talon put a hand on her shoulder and squeezed, none too gently if the wince on Tiana s face was any indication. What? It s not my fault she stated the obvious. You will learn to keep that mouth of yours shut, Talon stated menacingly. And I promise, if I have to be the one to teach you, it will definitely hurt you more than it will hurt me. Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 57 For a moment, Raphael thought the spunky little woman might have another smart-assed comment to make, but one look from Talon and she was actually cowed. Crossing her arms, Tiana gave him a disgruntled look and turned away, mumbling under her breath. Raphael watched in fascination as she stomped down the hall. Now there was an interesting person. Thank the Goddess of All Things he didn t have to deal with her! I apologize for Tiana, Talon sighed. She has little respect for authority, other than Allison. Really? Cronos grinned. I hadn t noticed. Jada giggled. Well, she s right. I did state the obvious. She shrugged. It s a habit I ve never been able to break when I m thinking. Raphael glanced at her. What is it? She shook her head. I don t know. Jada sat there a moment before jumping to her feet, taking the sheet with her. Allison seems to have a grasp on things others don t. I m wondering if Tiana is also such a person. Perhaps --Before Jada could finish her sentence, the ground beneath them lurched, throwing everyone not only off their feet, but into the air. Raphael spread his wings and dove for Jada. Looking frantically for Cronos, Raphael saw him clinging to a pillar at the chamber balcony. Within moments, all three of them were together, holding on to the column and each other. What s happening? Jada screamed. Is the dome holding? Raphael looked above him. The entire dome glowed blue. Even the ground sparkled with runes. I don t know. I think so. All any of them could do was try to ride it out. It seemed like the violent shaking and rumbling went on forever and ever, until Raphael wondered if it would ever stop. His ears popped and cracked and had he been human, he feared his eardrums would have burst. The Life Dome groaned and creaked, but held firm. When everything finally settled down, Jada pushed herself free and ran out the chamber door. Tiana! Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 58 Raphael could only follow, still wondering what had happened. Looking back, he saw Cronos right behind him. They found Jada talking urgently with a terrified looking Tiana. The tiny woman clung to Talon with all her strength as they sat on the marble floor of the temple garden. What just happened, Tiana? Is Chaos in my city? Jada was frantic. She wasn t ready to battle someone like Chaos. I -- Tiana shuddered before swallowing and taking a deep breath. No. At least I don t think so. She shook her head as if to clear it. All I know is geology. You ll have to get Allison to interpret all the weird shit, but this is what I was trying to tell you before. Jada! Allison, running down the hall at full speed with Pyros at her heels, yelled as she hurried toward them. The trench slipped! Atlantis is floating free! What do you mean the trench slipped ? Tiana pushed away from Talon and approached Allison. This trench can t slip. It s not made that way. Well, it did. Atlantis was protected by the runes on the dome, and shot to the surface along with a huge chunk of the ocean floor. We re floating off the shore of the Mariana Islands. Floating? Jada s eyes widened. Atlantis doesn t float. Atlantis is an underwater city. Tiana snorted. Not anymore. Wait a minute. Jada held up a hand and paced across the room. What just happened? If what Allison said was correct --Tiana crossed her arms over her chest. --a very rare type of earthquake. So Chaos was behind it. Raphael put his hands on his hips, his wings rippling. If Chaos wanted a fight, he d damn sure give him one. No. Tiana s quick response drew everyone s eye. At --at least, she stammered and swallowed, I don t think so. Not directly, anyway. Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 59 - Jada stepped near the smaller woman and held out her hand. Come, sit. Jada guided her to the divan and held Tiana s hands in her own, a gesture of comfort and trust. Tell me how you know Chaos wasn t responsible for this. Raphael looked to Talon. The huge God of Earth stood fast, his arms crossed over his massive chest, never taking his eyes from Tiana. Yellowstone was prime for an eruption, but it wasn t supposed to. Not yet. Tiana looked self-consciously to Allison, then to Talon before returning her attention to Jada. When the earth shifted to accommodate the forces at work there, it left other places vulnerable. Apparently, this was one of them. I sense an urgency in the water. Jada brought Tiana s hands to her lips and kissed them. The image of Jada s innocent caress against Tiana s pale flesh burned through Raphael. He tried to breathe normally, tried not to think about what Jada and Allison had surely done earlier, but his cock stirred despite his best efforts. Is it related? With this type of seismic activity, of course. Tiana s previous sarcastic attitude was replaced with concern and a need to make herself understood. It s called a megathrust earthquake. When two tectonic plates move together and a heavier ocean plate slips under a lighter continental plate, they move slowly like that for long periods of time. She focused her attention entirely on Jada as she spoke. Sometimes, the continental plate, the one on top, catches on a prominent land mass. The plates still move, so the continental plate bends until the strain is greater than the land s ability to hold it. When that happens, the overlying plate snaps free. So what does that have to do with the sea? Jada, still intent upon Tiana, directed the explanation in the direction she needed to go. There s a tremendous amount of energy released. When the plate slips, it jumps over the obstruction. That kind of violent movement in the sea floor causes a tsunami wave. It gets bigger the longer it has to travel to reach land, up to a point anyway. Jada stilled. Raphael could almost see her processing the information. What land mass is the wave headed for? Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 60 I don t know. Tiana pried her hands from Jada s, and stood, pacing the length of the room. I don t know that much about this area of the ocean. I looked into it, but I just don t understand oceanography! I don t understand the lay of the land this far underwater at all. She turned and faced the group, eyeing Talon in particular, anger splashed all over her face. I m a fucking geologist! I did the required oceanography for my degree, but that s it. I work above the ocean. The last several years, the closest I ever got to the ocean was Yellowstone Lake! Relax, Tiana. Allison tried to calm her friend, but Tiana obviously wasn t ready to be calmed. How can I relax when there s a killer wave out there about to hit an unsuspecting land mass with the potential to destroy everything, and everyone? Earthquakes are my field, and I m next to useless! And without you, Jada said reassuringly, we wouldn t know what was going on. You came here to warn us about one event, and you enlightened us to another. Tiana blinked several times and looked at Talon. When the giant god didn t say anything, instead smirking and looking away from her, she turned and left the chamber. Not saying anything. Not looking back. Pyros nudged Talon. What did you do to her? Talon sighed. I didn t do anything. He straightened his shoulders before adding, I might have said something, though. Allison s eyes narrowed and Raphael braced himself for an explosion. Allison might not be a goddess, but she was more powerful than any non-deity he knew, himself included. Talon, any hurt you ve caused her, I ll take out in your hide. She s the smart ass! Talon waved his hands in frustration. Why didn t you reprimand her when she implied the Goddess of Water was a lack wit? He moved in Allison s direction, but Pyros cut him off. Raphael noticed Pyros s skin darken and moved between the two very powerful gods and Jada. Cronos did the same. Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 61 Because, Allison bit out, fists and jaw clenched, though Jada seems like a person I d love to get to know better, she s not my best friend. Tiana is. Raphael felt a breeze and looked up, careful not to take his attention from Talon and Allison. What he saw alarmed him greatly. Uh, guys? Any ideas as to why the Life Dome is glowing again? Allison s head snapped up. Squinting her eyes, looking at the runes high above them critically, she shook her head slightly. Some of the rune combinations aren t holding together. Never taking her eyes from the dome, she reached for Pyros. We need to look at them one by one and repair the damage. Pyros glanced at Talon and started to follow his mate, but stopped. Taking a deep breath, Pyros looked straight into Talon s eyes. Words are as bad as blows, my friend. Whatever you think of her, I m sure she didn t deserve to have her spirit broken. Talon stood still under the reprimand. The only thing indicating he took it to heart was his downcast eyes. With Pyros gone, Raphael watched in fascination as the huge god slumped, looking at Jada. I suppose I should apologize to you both. More to Tiana than to me. Jada smiled. Everyone makes mistakes, but I suspect Tiana s rough exterior hides a softer persona. Probably one she tries very hard to hide. Taking a deep breath, Talon nodded. I ll seek her out. Apologize. That would be the godly thing to do. Talon barked a laugh. That s something I ve not felt much like doing for many centuries. Shoulders slumped, Talon walked out of Jada s chamber, leaving the three of them alone. Now. Jada turned to her men. I have an idea. Chapter Eight What did you have in mind, Jada? Raphael s deep, sultry voice sent chills down Jada s spine. Ocean s Deep, she loved his voice. Well, Jada cleared her throat as she felt a flush creep up her neck, I thought it might be prudent to see what we could do about the wave threatening the surface. We re off the coast of the Philippines. Raphael crossed his arms over his chest. Nearby islands include Guam, Solomon Islands, and a host of other pretty nicely populated areas. Assuming the wave hasn t already overtaken them, how do you plan to stop it? Like Allison said before. She smiled wickedly. Fight water with water. Cronos gave her a sideways grin. If it s anything like the last time, I m all for it. Jada swatted him playfully. This is serious business. She grinned. But I expect it will be quite fulfilling. She knew she needed to let them control the mating this time. She needed all her concentration to cast her own special mix of water magic. Stepping away from Cronos, Jada dropped her robe and smiled at their entranced stares. She could really get used to their attention. Turning toward the bath chamber, she crooked a finger at them. Coming? Not waiting to see if they followed, she strolled forward and stepped into the warm, soothing water feeling anything but calm. Her heart raced and her breathing was deep. She had a job to do, and incredible pleasure would be part of it. Ducking under the water, she cleared her mind and relaxed her body. Unbidden, the remembrance of another time underwater came to her. She floated, suspended in the water of the pool. As she opened her eyes, light from the surface danced in distorted, sparkling prisms creating the illusion of multi-colored diamonds on the floor Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 63 of the pool. She tingled from hip to toe, and she realized something extraordinary was happening to her. The lower half of her body sparkled with a myriad of blue scales. Her legs had grown together and instead of feet, she had a blue and silver fin. She laughed in joy, reaching out to the cadence of flowing water, not just within the pool, but within the sea as well. Diving to the bottom of the pool, she found two male figures waiting for her. Cronos. Raphael. But -- Sea Goddess s Heart! They had changed! Just as she had. Two mermen awaited her, one with gold and silver scales, one with black and silver. Both regarding her with identical looks of lust and need. Jada flipped her tail and playfully swam away from them, darting this way and that. The two males chased her and every now and then brushed her tail, or her hand, or her breast. She caressed their bodies as well, her hair billowing around them all, swirling around like a blue cloud. The pool was large, and Jada took advantage of the room. She swam between the two large men in an erotic dance designed to tease and titillate. Their game continued until the sexual energy buzzed through the water. The scales on their tails glowed and twinkled in the light. Cronos pulled her to him with an arm around her waist. Holding her snugly to his chest, Raphael lowered himself to eye level with her breasts and took one into his mouth. Jada tried to cry out, but only bubbles emerged from her mouth. Bubbles surrounded them. Tiny ones from their movement, larger ones from their mouths. Jada hadn t thought about it before, but she was breathing normally. Twining her fingers in Raphael s hair, her fingers brushed behind his ear and she felt the gills she was sure they all had. Amazing! When Raphael swirled his tongue around her nipple, and Cronos swirled his tongue in her ear, Jada arched her back as lust jolted through her. Her pussy tingled, and she yearned to spread her legs to encircle Raphael s torso. She glanced down at her Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 64 body, and her tail shimmered and glistened before splitting in two. The scales still sparkled down her thighs, but only the fins at her feet remained of her tail. Raphael noticed the difference immediately and wasted no time lowering himself further. He guided her legs to his shoulders and urged her to wrap them around his neck. Jada wanted nothing more than to lose herself in these two wonderful men, but with the sexual power flowing through them and the added medium of water surrounding them, she was more conscious than she d ever been of water as an element. Seeking outside Atlantis, searching for the wave she knew was out there, Jada cut through the water. Sensations swamped her body. The two men filled her with pleasure, and the sea and wind did the same in her mind. Wonderful as it was, Jada knew she d never be able to determine the direction of the wave from the water. But what else could she do? You have the means to do what no other Goddess of Water has ever done before. You can break the bounds of one element and enter another. The woman s voice whispering inside her head was the most beautiful she d ever heard. Embrace Raphael s energy and his love for you. Jada never questioned the voice. She was linked through the water with Cronos and to Raphael. Both men trusted the woman, Angelina, implicitly, and Jada trusted both men with her life. Reaching toward the essence she knew was Raphael, Jada found the element air and let it lead her. Instinctively, she knew trying to control the foreign element would be futile. So, she treated it like she always had water. She let the element guide her. Raphael s fingers delved into her core. As her body soared in delight under the water, her essence soared above it in a spiritual communion with air. High into the air she spread her arms, and the brush of feathers fanned her limbs. Looking to each side, she noticed a very large set of blue wings at her back, and she laughed. Wind whipped her hair back from her face, and the joy of flying overtook her and propelled her into her first orgasm. Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 65 Thrashing beneath the water, Jada ground her pelvis onto Raphael s hand, but he immediately ceased all movement. Cronos tilted her head back and kissed her deeply for several seconds before pulling back and looking into her eyes, her head held captive between his hands. You must not come again until this is finished. Jada knew he was right. But the excitement of what she was experiencing was more than she was able to control all at once. Taking a deep breath and focusing on the two men pleasuring her body, Jada tried again. Again, she soared into the sky above the sea. Concentrating on an element she d never dealt with before was too distracting. Instead, Jada focused her attention on the sea, not the air, trusting the element itself to take her where she needed to go. It wasn t long before she spotted the tsunami wave speeding across the ocean. Still very far from land, the wave was containable, if she acted now. If she waited much longer, it would be too large to contain. Like ripples in a tub, the wave radiated out from the source. No matter how much control she might have over water, she could not stop a natural event once it started, and she had only a very limited amount of control over air, if any. What do I do, Raphael? I need a barrier between land and this wave. Concentrate on what you want. If air is willing, you ll have your barricade. I don t understand. I can t cross my fingers and hope for the best, Jada argued even as she tried to do what he asked. She picked a point in the ocean, willing the air to create a barrier that the wave could not cross. But how many shots would she get at it? Air cannot be forced into doing something. You must allow it to go its own way and simply suggest a course of action. Cronos s voice penetrated her concentration, even as his tongue penetrated her mouth, yet again. It is much the same with water. You control the water, but you do not force it to do as you wish. Jada gasped and tangled her tongue with Cronos s. She reached blindly for his head to hold him to her. All she wanted to do was lose herself in the beauty of this new Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 66 world. The three of them could live beneath the sea for all time, worrying about nothing but each other and the pleasure they could create. Jada! Raphael s voice in her head snapped her back to the present. You ll only get one shot at this. Concentrate on what you want. He punctuated his words with a small nip to her nether lips, followed by a soothing lick. Taking a deep breath, she took another look around the sea from high above. The wave was too large for her to accurately determine its size, so she decided she had to contain it from all sides. Reaching out to air, she pictured a barrier surrounding Atlantis just beyond the wave. If it worked, the wave would encounter the barrier of air and be turned back toward Atlantis, but with much less severity. In any case, the Life Dome would protect the city, and the wave would be dissipated. At first, Jada didn t think it was going to work, then the wave surged upward. Blocked by the very barrier she hoped to create, the wave rippled and fought itself as it was forced to turn, heading back toward Atlantis as a smaller version of itself. Jada wanted to jump for joy. Instead, she climaxed almost instantly as Raphael s cock slid into her moist cunt. Brought back to her body beneath the water, Jada pulled her mouth from Cronos s and looked at her body joined with Raphael s. His tail had become like hers -- still shimmering with scales with fins for feet, but separated into finely muscled legs. The cock sliding into her pussy sparkled black and silver, and the sight alone almost sent her over the edge once again. She turned back to Cronos to find him presenting his cock for her to suck, his tail also transformed. She opened her mouth eagerly and took him inside. Pulling deeply on his engorged shaft, she found one of the scales on the head of his cock and flicked it with her tongue. Cronos groaned and trailed his fingers through her long hair. Well done, Goddess. Cronos s voice held a wealth of pride and love. Jada swirled her tongue around the head of his cock in acknowledgement of his praise. With her task complete, Jada threw herself into the pleasure she wanted so much. She wrapped her fist around the base of Cronos s cock and pumped experimentally until she felt the shaft pulse. Satisfied she pleased him, Jada engulfed his Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 67 cock as far as she could down her throat before pulling back and licking the tip. Salty fluid leaked generously from the tiny opening, and she lapped it up with enthusiasm. Raphael quickened his pace within her cunt. Reaching between their joined bodies, Jada brushed her clit with a finger. She locked her legs around Raphael s waist and used the added leverage to fuck him like she knew he wanted her to. She slammed her lower body into him, the sensations growing and growing until she knew there was no way she could hold back her next orgasm. Cronos s cock pulsed and hardened in her mouth and Raphael s did the same in her pussy. Her clit swelled and pulsed, and finally her orgasm burst through, sensitizing her clit and making the muscles in her legs seize, causing her to grip Raphael s waist even harder. Had she been able to, she would have screamed. As it was, her mouth expelled air bubbles, which caressed their bodies. It wasn t long before the pulsing of the two cocks buried within her body intensified. Both men gripped her body tightly as they pumped into her with lust and love until they finally erupted inside her. Bubbles rose to the surface and lightly brushed their skin. Raphael and Cronos moved from their positions to cradle Jada. She was sandwiched, pleasantly so, in the arms of both men as they broke the surface. Once above water, Jada raised a foot out of the pool, curious as to what she would find. Blue- tinged skin and toes greeted her, and she giggled. That was almost like a dream. She sighed into Raphael s chest as he gathered her close. Cronos exited the pool, getting a towel from a heated cabinet, and reached for Jada. Wrapping her in the warm cloth, he gathered her in his arms. You did well, my love, Cronos murmured. The wave was directed back toward the fault rupture, and any remains will be too small for nearby islands to worry about. I could not have done it if I hadn t had Raphael s connection to draw upon. She turned to Raphael and wondered how she could have ever doubted whether or not Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 68 she could love him. Your understanding of your element is what saved those islands, not me. I would have tried to force air into doing what I wanted. You would have figured it out in time. Raphael kissed the tip of her nose. Not before it was too late. Jada caressed his cheek with her palm. I am not complete without both of you. She turned to Cronos and kissed his lips softly. I feel like I ve finally realized what I was meant to do, what I was meant to be. Good, Raphael said as he finished drying her and lifted her into his arms. Let s celebrate. Jada laughed as she fingered the wings on Raphael s back. It was amazing that two elements could function in such harmony. This was how it was supposed to be. All the elements working together to protect the entire world. Raphael laid her gently on the great bed and Jada couldn t keep from smiling. Home. This was where she belonged. With these two men. In this city. She now knew peace for the first time in more than twenty years. Jada reached for Raphael and kissed him tenderly, with all the love she was beginning to feel for the remarkable man. Twining the fingers of one hand in his hair she pulled him to her. Finding a wing with the other hand, she stroked it as she might a cat. The gesture was soothing, calming. Soon, she felt the bed dip, and Cronos gently turned her face to his and continued the kiss she had started with Raphael. Their tongues swirled together in a sensual dance. She loved kissing him. She suspected she always would. There was something special about the taste and feel of his mouth that she couldn t get enough of, and she didn t want to. Raphael spread her legs and settled there, all six of his wings fanning her body from waist to calf, stroking her gently. She was enveloped in love and protection. Never again would she have to fear what each day would bring. Never again would she fear the intimacy they now shared. She would gladly give of her body and receive theirs. Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 69 He dipped his head and when he did, Jada s cunt contracted with the sensual touch of his tongue. She sighed into Cronos s mouth and sank deeper into the pillows cradling her head. Spreading her legs wider, she gave Raphael as much access to her as he wished. His to do with as he pleased. Raphael reveled in Jada s responsiveness. This was a woman to be treasured, and he intended to do just that every day of his existence. Her cunt contracted around him when he stroked her with first two, then three fingers. She thrust her pelvis at him, whimpering and crying out in her orgasm. All the while, Cronos kissed her and caressed her nipples into pebble hard peaks. The colors of her body fueled his desire. No other woman could compare to her in his eyes. Pale blue, with just a hint of a blush -- especially in her cheeks --with creamy, white-tipped breasts and pussy. He wanted to devour her, to partake of her lush treats and gorge himself. And he would. But not yet. Jada s lips were like the sweetest nectar ever created. Cronos wanted to drink there all day. The sensual movement of her tongue against his glided over him, sweet as honey. Nothing compared to her. Nothing. No one. But then, he had known that for a very long time. And she was finally, finally his. Jada was still coming down from her orgasm when she felt Raphael slide a fourth finger into her still pulsing cunt. She felt stretched, but pleasantly so. She arched into him, trying to take more into her hungry pussy. She squealed in surprise and pleasure when her pussy slipped past Raphael s four fingers to take the width of his hand. The sensation was like nothing she had ever experienced before, and when he brushed her clit with his thumb, she came even harder than before. She wanted everything these men had to give. Everything! She wanted both of them. Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 70 Giving Raphael s hand one last squeeze with her pussy, she pulled away from him and turned to her side, pulling herself flush against Cronos. Get behind me, Raphael, she panted. I need you both. They grunted their assent, and Cronos wasted no time guiding himself into her wet and wanting cunt. Giving her several quick, shallow thrusts, he surged forward and held himself there. The pained expression on his face belied the pulsing in his cock that signified his pleasure. Ah, Goddess! He groaned, thrusting his pelvis once more. Raphael. Jada reached behind her with a shaking hand and pointed to a table beside the bed. In the drawer. Lubricant. She curled a leg around Cronos s hip, exposing herself to both of them. The movement and noise behind her indicated Raphael was doing as she asked, but when he slid two fingers between the cheeks of her ass, she stopped him. No, Raphael. Her quiet voice stilled both men. Not there. She looked over her shoulder at his puzzled expression and simply reached beneath her and inched his fingers forward until they rimmed the back edge of her pussy. Jada shifted herself until Cronos slipped out of her. Give me the lube. She smiled as she took it from Raphael. His surprised and lust filled expression was almost too much for her. Cronos watched her with equal amounts of the same emotions. Both men stilled, obviously waiting for her to guide them where she wanted them. Squeezing a generous amount of the liquid gel into one palm, she coated first Raphael, then Cronos until their shafts gleamed in the soft light from a sun that had never penetrated the dome of Atlantis before this day. Rolling onto her side, once more facing Cronos --her first love --she guided first him, then Raphael into her cunt. At first, only the heads of their cocks penetrated her, as she accustomed herself to their presence and combined size, then she gradually urged them on until they both rested fully inside her. The sensation was exhilarating. Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 71 Now, my loves, she breathed, make love to me as no one else ever has. We are one. And we always will be. Slowly, carefully, the two moved within her. There was very little discomfort, and an abundance of pleasure. The small amount of pain created its own darker pleasure, and Jada embraced it. She had fought against the darker side of sex for her entire life as a goddess --now she realized it wasn t the act itself that was dark. It was the motive and presentation. No one has the right to make another person do something they don t want to do, no matter what the reasons. No matter how noble the cause. With that realization came the understanding that these two men, men who loved her as she loved them, would never ask anything of her she wasn t willing to give. That in itself turned the darkness into light. Pleasurable pain. An oxymoron if ever there was one. But with these two men, she could do whatever she liked, and she d never feel used again. Yes, they took great pleasure from her body, but they returned it in spades. Why are you smiling, my sweet? Cronos kissed the tip of her nose, never ceasing his sensual glide. Because you both love me. She sighed as Raphael thrust and Cronos retreated. Because you ve taken something I feared and turned it into something I want to explore in every way possible. Jada shifted her lower body so that they stopped their movement. Because She blinked, a tear falling to her cheek. Because I love you both so very much. Raphael s groan was echoed by Cronos as the two started moving once again. Jada moved with them, accepting them, wanting them. Her hand found Cronos s hip, and she urged him on. Raphael kept a slow but steady pace, sliding in opposite strokes to Cronos. The close, tight fit inside her didn t allow for a rapid mating, but the gentle, deep penetration, combined with the incredible fullness in her pussy, was exactly what she needed. It wasn t long before the feel of them moving inside her and around her body Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 72 took its toll on her control, and her climax stood at the threshold, awaiting that little extra bit of sensation before bursting inside her. The feeling of each man swelling within her, with his own pending climax, was just the fuel she needed. Jada yelled her pleasure as, wave after wave, her climax rolled over her like the sea that was her domain. The warm, wet explosion inside her cunt coincided with the groans and shouts of the men she loved so very much. Her last thought before she surrendered to the bliss both her lovers had given her was to wonder whether or not the other elements could find the peace found by fire and water. Epilogue When the wave hit Atlantis, it did so with a much greater force than Jada had anticipated. Still the Life Dome held. With one exception. Allison would later tell the others the link that broke was one bound primarily with threads of earth, but none of them could say why that particular piece failed. In any case, it proved to be fatal to one member of their party. Talon found Tiana s body at the shoreline of Atlantis s innermost ring, a sliver of dome piercing her heart. Eyes glazed and unseeing, the tiny woman looked at peace for the first time since Talon had met her. The God of Earth howled his rage and loss, and the earth trembled everywhere because of it. Can you honestly say she is not better off? The silky smooth voice of Chaos emanated from behind the God of Earth. Spinning, Talon took a mighty swing at the ancient god, but missed his mark by a great length. How can you possibly say that? Talon stalked toward the menace that was Chaos. She was alive! Alive and with her friends. Where is she now? The underworld? The great beyond? Wherever she is, she is alone. Chaos merely laughed and sidestepped the larger man. How do you know she is alone, hm? I have saved your precious Tiana and given her something you never did. Talon stilled, his eyes narrowing. What did you do? His hoarse whisper held a wealth of emotion. He hadn t realized how quickly the little sprite had gotten under his skin until he saw her lifeless body. Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 74 I gave her another form, in this life. You may find her if you wish to look, but only if she chooses to let you. Talon had never been so confused and hurt in all his years. To have found someone as rare as Tiana, a woman who understood the call of the earth, even if she wasn t able to hear it herself, was a rare gift indeed. Tiana was meant to be much like Allison --a goddess in human s clothing. But something happened and she received all the instincts, but none of the power. Now, she has both. Chaos smiled, but instead of looking evil or smug as he expected, Chaos looked strained to Talon. If he didn t know better, he could have almost said Chaos wasn t happy about the arrangement. How can killing her have helped her situation? Talon s anger and grief were getting the better of him. Oh, make no mistake, she is where she wants to be, but I did not cause the dome to fail. Only the Goddess of All Things could explain that. But once done, I had the ability to give Tiana a choice between life and death. He looked at Talon, his gaze never faltering. She chose life, but a life without emotional entanglements. I don t understand. Talon held the ancient god s gaze, hoping, praying his suspicion was wrong. She is a wood nymph. Ever seeking her own pleasure, never mindful of the needs of others. Her heart is her own, and she will never give it to anyone as long as she chooses this form. Talon felt the proclamation as if Tiana had died all over again. She would exist in a world of sexual pleasure without the joy of knowing love. His included. Chaos vanished without another word. Talon dropped down beside Tiana s limp, lifeless body. As the first tears dropped from Talon s eyes onto Tiana s face, her body vanished in a hazy fog and drifted out to sea on the wind. Balance was restored to water. Marteeka Karland The Elementals 2: Goddess of Water - 75 Earth, the most stable of all the elements, was now in turmoil. Goddess of All Things, be merciful.
