Construction of tokens is done in the following manner. Important Note for token sizes (px = pixels): Small: 40 X 40 px Medium: 50 x 50 px Large: 100 x 100 px Huge: 150 x 150 px Gargantuan: 200 x 200 px If you are unsure as to the size of the token check either MM1 or MM2; if your still unsure, Rule of Thumb: Aspects are Large, humanoids are Medium, young (wyrmlings) dragons are Medium, adults are Large, Elders are Huge, ancients are Gargantuan, Exarchs are Medium Steps: Copy image from web page with right click, copy In Fireworks, open menu File -> New (or press ctrl + n) Select Transparent under the Canvas Color section of the popup window (you only have to do this once) Click OK, or press enter (the program takes the correct sizes from the web page so you don’t need to mess with it) Open file menu Edit -> Paste (or press ctrl + v) On the left side of the screen there is a tool palette, under Bitmap, click on the Magic Wand tool (or simply press w) Once the wand is selected click on the white space (if you need better resolution adjust the zoom level), and it will select all the white that attached to it like seen in “test1.png”: Press delete If you need to select another space, do so and press delete IMPORTANT: If, when you select the white space with the wand tool it selects part of the token (sometimes happens when the token has a lot of white in it), select the Lasso tool (on the left side near where the wand is, or you can press L) and, while holding the alt key, circle around the parts that you don’t want to delete (this takes a little practice but isn’t really hard after you get the hang of it) Once you’ve eliminated all the white space and turned them into transparencies select the menu Modify -> Canvas -> Image Size (or press ctrl + j) and resize as above depending on the size of the creature depicted by the token. The important measurement is the height; the height cant be smaller than the width (otherwise it wont center right on the maps) if when you resize the width ends up larger than the height, uncheck “Constrain Proportions” on the Image Size popup window and adjust both sizes by hand. It will morph the image somewhat but that ok. After resizing, save the file with the name under the token in the webpage, and save it as file type Fireworks (*.png)
