Your Role:
The Junior Systems Administrator position ensures all critical systems, internal or customer facing are functioning optimally and fully documented. This candidate will adhere to daily checklists and walk through our datacenters and associated systems to maintain our corporate standards.
The Company:
Our client provides the latest technologies in digital phone, high speed internet, web hosting, cloud and managed services.
- Perform system migrations via Hyper-V and VMware.
- Perform daily system monitoring to ensure availability and integrity of all hardware.
- Review system and application logs and verify completion of scheduled tasks.
- Ensure systems are fully patched and up to date.
- Ensure backups are completed and verified successfully.
- Deploy, maintain and troubleshoot our rapidly expanding infrastructure.
- Deploy, maintain and troubleshooting VOIP systems.
- Deploy and configure servers with associated hardware and peripherals.
- Migrate and maintain customer email platforms.
- Investigate and troubleshoot infrastructure issues internally and for customers.
- Ensure documentation is up to date and maintained.
- Monitor and maintain data centers at various locations.
- Monitor systems for uptime, security and availability.
- Provide tier 1/2 technical support when required.
- Participate in on-call rotation.
You Have:
- 3+ Years Windows System administration experience.
- Fundamental understanding of Linux.
- Fundamental understanding of Network and Storage.
- Fundamental understanding of Cloud technologies.
- Experience managing VOIP phone systems.
- Experience or certifications in Hyper-V and/or VMware
- Experience managing enterprise scale email deployments.
- Experience administrating Windows Server and Active Directory.
- Experience deploying and managing NAS and SAN storage environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bonus for experience in an MSP environment.
- Must have a vehicle, valid driver’s license and clean driver's abstract.
